- the invention relates to a roll stand with overhung, mutually adjustable rollers, the roller shafts of which are mounted in a housing rotatably arranged eccentric bushings and are drive-connected via gear wheels on their ends opposite the rollers with intermediate shafts also mounted in the housing.
- Roll stands of this type are intended to permit uninterrupted operation as far as possible. Therefore, the replacement of wear parts must be carried out in the shortest possible time. On the other hand, the replacement units should be as small as possible, ie limited to the wear parts, in order to keep the operating and maintenance costs as well as the effort for the spare parts storage low.
- Various constructions have already become known for this purpose (DPS 742 990, DOS 2304268, US-PS3336781), which provide an easily detachable connection between individual parts of such a rolling stand and enable these parts to be replaced quickly. In this case, however, relatively large housing parts, including functional parts that are subject to only slight wear, are still replaced. This then requires complex assembly, sealing and alignment work. It is an object of the present invention to provide an arrangement which avoids these disadvantages and, in the case of largely excluding housing parts from the changing process, practically limits them to the decisive wear parts.

Nevertheless, each of the two interchangeable units assigned to one of the rollers can be easily replaced individually or both.
