Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a sistemas y métodos de envasado útiles para extender la vida de almacenamiento de producto alimenticio tal como pescado fresco. Los sistemas y métodos de envasado pueden ser usados para transportar o almacenar el producto alimenticio por un periodo de tiempo extendido. Los sistemas de envasado preferiblemente emplean un alto espacio libre y arquitectura flexible y pueden usar una celda de combustible para mantener un nivel de oxígeno reducido en un ambiente alto de dióxido de carbono que rodea el producto alimenticio. También se describen métodos útiles para extender la vida de almacenamiento del producto alimenticio tal como pescado fresco. Los métodos pueden ser usados para transportar o almacenar el producto alimenticio por un periodo de tiempo extendido. Los métodos preferiblemente usan una fuente de gas baja de oxígeno para mantener un nivel de oxígeno reducido en el ambiente que rodea al producto alimenticio.
