Abstract

The adjustable sofa has a fixed frame section and a movable pivoting section connected by a pivoting linkage. The pivot assembly (16) has a sliding guide (26) for the movable section, to allow the latter to be moved to a spaced position with respect to the fixed section. The slide guide is curved to allow the movable section to be raised as it is moved away from the fixed section.
