when the base ( 5 , 20 , 60 ) is axially secured in the first opening ( 11 ) of the electrical socket ( 1 ), the lead-in wires ( 31 ) are in contact with the rectangular contact plate ( 41 ) and the longer parts of the L-shaped extensions ( 22 , 62 ) block the slot entrances ( 121 , 521 ) of the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ).

2. Coupling device according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ) each have a third elongated notch ( 123 ) in an outer periphery which abuts the slot entrance ( 121 , 521 ) and extends along the length thereof.

3. Coupling device according to claim 1, characterized in that the L-shaped extensions ( 22 , 62 ) each have a fourth extended notch in an inner side along the length of the longer part thereof and slidably engage the third extended notch ( 123 ) of the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ).

4. A Christmas tree light coupling device having an electrical socket having an opening ( 11 ) in the head, characterized by a pair of rectangular recesses ( 13 , 54 ) symmetrically formed in opposite inner peripheries for respectively securing in a pair of rectangular contact plates ( 41 ) of a free end of each pair of electrical wires ( 3 , 40 ) and a single extension member ( 14 ) extending outwardly from an outer periphery thereof and having a pair of bent branches ( 141 ) extending symmetrically outwardly to define a pair of cylindrical receiving spaces ( 143 ) for respectively receiving a pair of electrical wires ( 3 , 40 ) therein, each space ( 43 ) having a slot entrance ( 521 ) and a fifth elongated notch inwardly on the inner periphery connected to the slot entrance ( 121 , 521 ) and along the length thereof;
a base ( 5 , 20 , 60 ) having a bulb ( 6 ), an upper rim ( 21 ), a bottom engaging the opening ( 51 ) of the socket ( 1 ), a pair of lead-in wires ( 31 ) extending from the bottom and attached to respective lateral sides of the bottom, and a pair of L-shaped extensions ( 22 , 62 ) extending in parallel spaced relationship from the rim ( 21 ) and engaging the slot entrances ( 121 , 521 ) of the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ), respectively, each extension having a sixth elongated notch in an outer surface abutting the free end along the length thereof for sliding engagement with the fifth elongated notch of the bent branches.

5. A Christmas tree light coupling device comprising an electrical socket ( 1 ) having a first opening ( 11 ) in the head, characterized by a pair of rectangular recesses ( 13 ) formed symmetrically in opposite inner peripheries for respectively securing in a pair of rectangular contact plates ( 41 ) of a free end of each pair of electrical wires ( 3 , 40 ) and a pair of extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ) of a curved elastic plate extending symmetrically and alternately outwardly from the opposite outer peripheries thereof, each plate having a cylindrical receiving space respectively receiving the pair of electrical wires ( 3 , 40 ) and each pair having a slotted entrance ( 121 , 521 ) communicating with the receiving space and a pair of reinforcing plates ( 53 ) extending symmetrically and alternately from the opposite outer peripheries thereof extend outwardly in front of the slot entrances ( 121 , 521 );
a base having a second opening ( 51 ) and a rim ( 21 ) on the head, a bottom, a bulb ( 30 ) axially disposed in the second opening ( 51 ), having a pair of insertion wires ( 31 ) extending from the bottom and attached to opposite lateral sides of the bottom, respectively, and a pair of L-shaped extensions ( 22 , 62 ) extending symmetrically and alternatively outwardly from the rim thereof ( 21 ), each rim ( 21 ) having a longer part extending downwardly and engaging with the slot entrances ( 121 , 521 ) of the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ) and being urged by the pair of reinforcing plates ( 53 ) on the back side thereof;
when the base ( 5 , 10 , 20 ) is axially secured in the first opening ( 11 ) of the electrical socket ( 1 ), the lead-in wires ( 31 ) are in contact with the rectangular contact plate ( 41 ), and the longer parts of the L-shaped extensions ( 22 , 62 ) block the slot entrances ( 121 , 521 ) of the extension members ( 2 , 12 , 52 ).
