Das Lehnenelement 3, das im vorliegenden Fall U-förmig zur BiI-^: dung einer Kuschelecke ausgebildet ist, weist an der Unterseite vorstehende Führungssäulen 5, 6 auf, die in Lagerbuchsen im Untergestell gelagert sind. Auf diese· Säulen wirkt eine Höhenverstellvorrichtung, die nicht dargestellt ist und verschieden ausgeführt sein kann. Bei Betätigen der Höhenverstellvorrichtung wird das Armleh-■ nenelement 3 nach oben verschoben und beispielsweise in die dargestellte Höhenposition verbracht. In dieser Position erfüllt sie den Lehnenzweck, nämlich die Rückenlehne einer Kuschelecke. 1. 7. Seating-reclining furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the backrest element ( 2 ) is mounted in the base frame via at least two guide columns ( 5 , 6 ) which are coupled to a height adjustment device.

8. Seating-reclining furniture according to claim 1 or 7, characterized in that locking means are provided for locking the backrest element ( 2 ) after it has been brought into a height position.

9. Seating-reclining furniture according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that a motor drive is provided for the height adjustment device, upon actuation of which the backrest element ( 2 ) can be adjusted to a desired height position.

Seating-reclining furniture according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the height adjustment device has a spring drive which acts directly on the backrest element ( 2 ) or on the guide columns ( 5 , 6 ), and that a locking device is provided by means of which the backrest element ( 2 ) is held at least in the lowered position of use.

11. Seating and reclining furniture according to claim 10, characterized in that the spring drive has one or more gas pressure springs.

12. Seating and reclining furniture according to claim 11 in conjunction with claim 7, characterized in that at least one gas pressure spring is mounted in a guide column, the displacement piston of which is fastened to an abutment in the base frame.

13. Seating and reclining furniture according to claim 7, characterized in that the guide columns ( 5 , 6 ) run straight upwards or obliquely outwards.
