Abstract

A furniture arrangement comprises a piece of seating and reclining furniture (1) and a table (6) with a table frame (8) and a table top (7), wherein the seating and reclining furniture (1) comprises a seat part (2) supported on a frame (3), wherein the seat part (2) is held so as to be displaceable along a guide (31) and the distance between the table frame (8) and the seat part (2) is adjustable. This means that the furniture arrangement can be used in a variety of ways, especially in confined spaces.

Description

The present invention relates to a furniture arrangement with a seating and reclining furniture and a table with a table frame and a table top, wherein the seating and reclining furniture comprises a seat part supported on a frame.

In the DE 10 2015 115 631 A1 A piece of seating and reclining furniture is disclosed in which a backrest can be moved on a seat section to adjust the depth and the inclination of the backrest can also be adjusted. This allows the sitting position to be changed. If such a piece of seating and reclining furniture is placed next to a table, the sitting position can be flexibly adjusted to the needs of the user. However, it is necessary to use the space even more effectively, especially in confined spaces.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to create a furniture arrangement that can be used in a variety of ways, especially in confined spaces.

This object is achieved with a furniture arrangement having the features of claim 1.

The furniture arrangement according to the invention comprises a piece of seating and reclining furniture and a table with a table frame and a table top, wherein the piece of seating and reclining furniture comprises a seat part that is supported on a frame, wherein the seat part is held displaceably along a guide on an adjustment mechanism in order to adjust the distance between the table frame and the seat part. The guide is preferably designed as a curved guide along which the seat part can be displaced. The displacement can take place either in a horizontal direction or in a raised or lowered position inclined to the horizontal. The adjustment can be done manually or by motor. This allows the seat part to be moved from a retracted position next to the table frame to an extended position in which the seat part protrudes from the table frame. Especially in confined spaces, the seat part can be used either for sitting at the table or, if necessary, used in a retracted position for lying down or sitting comfortably. By moving the seat part, the space required can be minimized.

The table top preferably has at least two parts that can be pivoted or moved relative to one another. This means that the table can also have a retracted or folded position in which the space required is minimal, and a position in which the table top is fully available. Preferably, two sections of the table top are held together in a pivotable manner, which makes handling easier. The pivotable part can be pivoted over an edge of the seat part in the retracted position.

To ensure flexible use of the table, the table frame preferably includes at least one lifting column for adjusting the height of the table top. The table can then be used either as a dining table or work table at the desired height. The table top can also be mounted so that it can move horizontally, for example via pull-out rails.

The table is preferably provided with at least one separating element that can be moved across the table top, which creates a visual separation and/or improved sound insulation. The separating element can be swung out like a fan, for example, or moved from a lowered position to a raised position along a guide. This means that the table can be at least partially concealed visually.

In a preferred embodiment, the table frame comprises a wall against which the seat part can be placed in the retracted position. This can then form a lying surface which is limited on one side by the wall of the table frame and on the opposite side by movable backrests. Armrests can optionally be provided on the front sides so that in this position there is fall protection on all four sides. These armrests can be easily attached to the seating and reclining furniture using connecting fittings and can also be removed. This means that the seating and reclining furniture can also be used with only one or no armrests. It is also advantageous to attach the armrests to the long sides of the seating and reclining furniture. This makes it possible to create a stationary backrest when the adjustable backrest is moved into a position in which it can be used as a lying surface or leg rest.

Preferably, at least one upwardly projecting backrest is arranged on the seat part, which can be moved and/or pivoted relative to the seat part and whose inclination can be adjusted relative to the seat part. The backrest can be loaded on both sides and can be adjusted by at least one pivoting fitting and can be fixed against a load in opposite directions. The backrest can thus be loaded in both directions, so that the seat part can be used on both sides of the backrest so that a user can lean against it accordingly. This enables particularly flexible use of the seating and reclining furniture, which is particularly advantageous in a confined living space. The at least one backrest can be positioned centrally on the seat part so that sitting is possible on both sides of the backrest. The backrest is preferably movable over at least 50%, in particular at least 70% of the depth of the seat part, so that starting from a central position, either one seat or the opposite seat is enlarged. The backrest can also be moved all the way to the end of one long side of the seat part and pivoted downwards at this end in order to be able to use the surface of the seat part completely, for example for a lying position, or for use as a footrest or leg rest.

For easy handling, a drive can be arranged below the seat surface of the seat part to move and/or swivel the backrest. For example, a motor-driven spindle drive can be used as the drive, with a spindle that can be rotated relative to a spindle nut to effect an adjustment. A motor drive via flexible traction drives, for example with a band or rope, can also be used. Alternatively, a gas pressure spring or another drive can also be provided. A slide is preferably slidably mounted in the seat part, to which at least one swivel fitting is attached to fix the backrest. The swivel fitting can be guided through a slot on the seat surface of the seat part and hold the backrest. It is advantageous to arrange the entire mechanism, both for the seat depth adjustment and for the swivel mechanism, below the seat surface of the seat part. This allows a very compact structure of the entire seating and reclining furniture and a safe accommodation of the mechanisms without the possibility of interfering with the mechanism from the outside.

The at least one backrest can preferably be pivoted from an upright, upwardly projecting position by at least 60°, in particular between 70° and 100°, in one direction, advantageously in both directions. By pivoting in both directions, a total angle of at least 120° can be achieved. This means that the backrest can be used to extend the seat area if required, either as a headrest or as an extension of a lying area.

In a preferred embodiment, the frame has at least one foot element that protrudes from the seat part when viewed from above. The backrest can then be moved and pivoted over the protruding foot element, so that stable support, in particular against tipping moments, is ensured, even if the backrest protrudes laterally over the seat part.

In order to be able to extend the surface of the backrest, it can comprise two sections that can be folded relative to one another and are advantageously connected via friction and/or locking fittings. The swivel fitting can also be designed, for example, as shown in the WO 2016/113 173 A1 The sections can then be folded together for a sitting position so that they together form a soft backrest, while to extend a sitting or lying surface the two sections are aligned substantially flush or curved and then form a lying surface. In a further application the backrest can also be unfolded in a substantially vertical orientation in order to achieve a visual separation of the two seating areas.

The seating and reclining furniture can preferably have two independently movable backrests arranged next to each other on the seat part. This means that each seat can be used individually, either from one side or the other. Optionally, the seating and reclining furniture can also have more than two backrests that can be moved on the seat part.

The seating and reclining furniture also advantageously has one or more footrests that are attached to the frame at one end of the seat so that they can be swiveled and adjusted in height. The footrests can optionally be raised to allow for comfortable leg support in a sitting position or to enlarge the reclining area when used as reclining furniture with the backrest in the lowest possible position.

For a stable structure, the frame of the seating and reclining furniture can be mechanically connected to the table frame so that they form a coherent unit.

A seating and reclining furniture 1 comprises an upholstered seat part 2 which is supported on a frame 3 with several foot elements. The seating part 2 can comprise one or more upholstered cuboid-shaped elements. Side rests 4 are provided on the seat part 2 on opposite ends, and two backrests 5 are arranged on an upper side, whereby optionally only a single backrest 5 or more than two backrests 5 can be provided. The seating and reclining furniture 1 can be used with the backrests 5 as a sofa or as reclining furniture.

A table 6 is arranged on one long side of the seating and reclining furniture 1, which has a table top 7 that is held on a table frame 8. The table frame 8 can be connected to the frame 3 of the seating and reclining furniture 1. The table top 7 is made up of several parts and has a pivotable section 9 that is designed to be foldable.

A wall 18 is mounted between the seating and reclining furniture 1 and the table frame 8 in order to create a closed surface of the table 6 on the side of the seating and reclining furniture 1.
