Zum Öffnen von Türen, worunter hier alle Arten von Türen, Toren und auch zu öffnende Fensterflügel zu verstehen sind, die durch Scharniere, Schiebemechaniken o. dgl. beweglich sind, sind Türgriffe vorgesehen. Diese können als sogenannte Stoßgriffe fest mit dem Türflügelrahmen oder, insbesondere bei rahmenlosen Türen, wie beispielsweise Glastüren, auch direkt an der Füllung, z.B. einer Glasscheibe, angebracht sein. Sie werden meist für Türen im öffentlichen Bereich, Eingangstüren etc. verwendet.
