Device for holding a sanitary fitting

The invention relates to a device for holding a sanitary fitting, preferably a soap basket, on a rod.

Longitudinally movable brackets for shower heads on a wall bar are known. These brackets basically have a sleeve pushed onto the bar in the axial direction, which can be releasably fixed in individual sliding positions using clamping devices. On the outside of the sleeve there are mounts for placing or hanging the shower head.

The clamping devices used for this purpose must achieve sufficient clamping effects so that the relatively heavy shower head with the shower hose attached to it is sufficiently secured. These clamping devices are therefore usually designed as locking devices with catches or lever rods.

The object of the invention is to provide holders on a generally vertical rod, preferably the rod carrying the shower head, with which other associated sanitary fittings, for example a soap basket, can be held and arranged in a simple manner.

To solve this inventive problem, a device with the features of claim 1 is proposed.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is specified by individual or multiple features of the subclaims. Such a holder according to the invention can be easily attached to the support rod with its clamping piece in a radial direction and is sufficiently secured there due to the material and the clamping effect achieved in order to hold relatively light fittings, such as a soap basket with contents. Such a device can be easily removed again for cleaning. A longitudinal displacement of such a sliding piece into the desired position is possible at any time. The device proposed according to the invention consists of a few individual parts that are easy to assemble and manufacture and therefore allows cost-effective production.

The invention is explained in more detail below using an illustrated embodiment. Shown are:

A soap basket 1 is held in a movable manner in the axial direction of the rod 2 on a rod 2 arranged vertically on a wall, for example, by means of the device according to the invention. This holder consists of the plastic sliding piece, designated as a whole by the number 3, which can be clipped onto the rod with its clamping arms 32 radially and can be removed in the opposite direction, and a block 4, preferably made of metal, which is releasably attached to the sliding piece 3. In this sliding piece 3, the two partially ring-shaped clamping arms, which are at least slightly elastic, are formed on one side of a web part 31. At the opposite end of the web part 31, a blind hole 34 is provided, in which the bolt, designated as a whole by the number 6, is releasably inserted. In the head section 62 of this bolt 6 a recess 63 is provided, into which a clamping screw 5 engages to fix it, which can be moved from the outside in a threaded hole 33 of the web part 31. The bolt 6 protrudes with a threaded projection

section 61 on the front side to the outside. The block 4 is screwed onto this threaded section 61 with a corresponding threaded hole 42 and is thus fixed in place.

On its underside, the block 4 has a receptacle 41 into which the frame or the edge 11 of the soap basket 1 is inserted. This edge 11 is held in the block 4 by a clamping screw 7 inserted laterally in the threaded hole 43.

Protection claims 1. Device for holding a sanitary fitting, preferably a soap basket, on a rod, characterized by a sliding piece (3) that can be clamped radially onto a rod (2) with a detachable holder (4) for the sanitary fitting (1). &iacgr;&ogr; 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the sliding piece (3) made of plastic has two elastic clamping legs (32) forming a rod receptacle, which with their spaced-apart front ends form an opening for the radial introduction of the rod (2), the opening angle (a) being less than 180°. 15 3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the Clamping legs (32) are partially ring-shaped. 4. Device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sliding piece (3) carries the two clamping arms (32) on a web part (31) and, at the opposite end, a holding device (4) for a sanitary fitting (1) with a detachable fastening (5, 6). 5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the holding device is a block (4), preferably made of metal, to which the sanitary fitting (1) can be detachably fastened. 6.
