Industriell gefertigte Geräte werden in aller Regel vor dem Versand an Kunden in karton- oder kastenförmigen Verpackungseinheiten untergebracht. Diese dienen insbesondere zum Schutz vor Beschädigungen und Verschmutzungen. Um dies zu gewährleisten sind die Verpackungseinheiten meist mit Hilfe von bandförmigen Klebematerialien fest verschlossen. Es kann somit das Gerät im Inneren der u.U. versiegelten Verpackungseinheit auch vor einem unberechtigten Zugriff von außen geschützt werden.Industrially manufactured devices are usually placed in cardboard or box-shaped packaging units before being sent to customers.
