Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Badewanne mit einem am Wannenrand vorgesehenen, vorzugsweise vertieften Ablagebereich. The invention relates to a bathtub with a preferably recessed storage area provided on the edge of the tub.

Bei herkömmlichen Badewannen dieser Art ist es bekannt, im Randbereich konkave Einbuchtungen zur rutschsicheren Ablage von Seife vorzusehen. Diese Einbuchtungen besitzen zwar eine rinnenartige Verbindung zur Wannenwand, um an der Seife haftendes Wasser abzuleiten. Häufig kommt es dennoch zu einer mehr oder weniger weitgehenden Erweichung bzw. Dabei hat es sich als besonders günstig herausgestellt, wenn die im Wannenrand ausgebildete flache Vertiefung als völlig ebene Fläche ausgeführt ist.
