Abstract

A support strut (1) has an upper end (2) at right angles and with at least one radial profile (4) to lock into one of two slots in the end of a cylindrical swivel mounting (3). The slots are set at 90 degrees and represent the raised and lowered settings of the strut. The raised slot is longer than the support slot to provide a retracted storage/transport setting. The strut setting can be additionally secured by a locking catch.

The innovation concerns a support leg holder, especially for swap bodies.

The innovation relates to a support leg holder, in particular for swap bodies with a support bearing in which a support leg of the support leg is pivotally guided in order to enable the support leg to be pivoted from a rest position facing away from the ground into a support position facing the ground, wherein the support leg is designed to be displaceable within the support bearing.

Such structures are sometimes containers that can be transported on trucks or rail vehicles and then these structures can be unloaded from the vehicle, for example using a crane, and placed on support legs that are arranged on the underside of these structures. To set them down, the support legs are usually swiveled downwards by 90° so that the feet of the support legs rest on the ground. During transport, the support legs are again swiveled upwards by 90° and lie more or less parallel to the underside of these structures.

Since these support legs have to bear a high load, they are very sturdy and are therefore usually quite heavy, which means that in order to move the support legs from the resting position to the supporting position, the safety devices must first be released and handling the support legs is a hard physical task that is not without danger, especially if safety measures such as locking bolts are sometimes forgotten - carelessly.

Another potential danger exists if, for example - again due to carelessness or for reasons of convenience - the support leg swung out into its supporting position is not carefully secured and thus an unintentional folding of the support leg cannot be safely ruled out.

The innovation is based on the task of designing a support leg holder in such a way that the support leg is easy to operate when pivoting and that, despite being easy to use, a higher level of safety is guaranteed.

This task underlying the innovation is solved by the doctrine of the characterizing part.

In other words, a support leg holder is proposed in which at least one guide element arranged on the support leg of the support leg can be brought into at least one recess of the support bearing by a simple sliding movement of the support leg or the support leg arranged thereon in order to prevent an unwanted pivoting of the support leg when a guide element is introduced into the recess of the support bearing.

Advantageous embodiments of the innovation are explained in the subclaims.

In an advantageous embodiment, the guide element is arranged in the recess in the resting position of the support leg facing away from the ground in order to prevent the support leg from swinging down unintentionally in this resting position.
