There are already known items of clothing with applied symbols, such as logos, i.e. graphic symbols, which are applied, for example, as the brand name of the manufacturer of the item of clothing, for example on ski gloves.

The disadvantage here is that a user of the garment would prefer a different symbol to that applied by the manufacturer.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a piece of clothing that enables a user to see a symbol of his own choosing, in particular a number, a letter, a logo, a graphic symbol, a photo or the like, on his clothing as often as possible.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a piece of clothing in which the symbol, which is visible from the outside and can be selected by the wearer, is provided at a predetermined location on the piece of clothing in such a way that the symbol can be seen by a wearer of the piece of clothing when the wearer brings at least one of his extremities into his field of vision. This has the advantage that the wearer is put in a good mood when he sees the symbol, for example, which has further positive consequences.

Preferably, the wearer moves at least one extremity into his field of vision to carry out a specific activity. This is the case, for example, for activities such as driving a car or eating.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to embodiments shown in the drawing.

This exemplifies the idea whereby an item of clothing 10, in particular an arm or hand garment 10 (e.g. gloves or sleeves) is provided with an applied sign 11, such as a name, a number, a photo, or a symbol, wherein the applied sign 11 is applied at a location where the sign 11 can be seen by the wearer 1 of the item of clothing 10 during certain activities, such as when driving a car or eating at a table. The person skilled in the art will understand that the term "sign" also includes multiple signs, such as whole words or sentences, or signs composed of several types of signs.

The effect of the measure is that the sign 11 can be viewed during the activities mentioned and thus, if the sign 11 is selected accordingly, has a positive effect on the user 1 - for example, the name, number, photo or the like of a valued person is applied to the item of clothing, so that viewing this name has a positive effect on the wearer of the item of clothing 10.

The item of clothing according to the invention is manufactured using a known method for applying symbols to items of clothing, whereby the symbol is applied to the item of clothing according to the choice of the (future) wearer, for example by sewing, embroidering, gluing or printing. It is advantageous that the wearer or user of the item of clothing can choose the symbol themselves.

A garment with a sign visible from the outside, characterized in that the sign is provided so that it can be selected by the wearer and that the sign is provided at a predetermined location on the garment in such a way that the sign is visible to a wearer of the garment when the wearer brings at least one of his extremities into his field of vision. 2.
