Description

The invention relates to a wardrobe for storing items of clothing, textiles or other objects, with an inner frame preferably formed from rods or the like and a cover forming the outer boundary of the wardrobe.

There are a few wardrobes of this kind. The inner frame is first assembled from individual rods and then the cover is pulled over this rod frame. The assembly of the rod frame is very difficult - especially for a single person - because the frame is relatively unstable and the rods have to be pushed very tightly into each other, otherwise the cover cannot be pulled over the rod frame. In addition, small cracks usually appear in the cover when the cover is pulled over the inner frame, which greatly impairs the durability of the cover and of course its appearance.

The invention is based on the object of avoiding the disadvantages mentioned.

To achieve the object, it is proposed according to the invention that at least one folding joint or the like is provided in each of the rods or the like forming the long sides of the wardrobe.

The long sides of the wardrobe are already connected, so there is no need for the laborious task of putting individual rods together, which can also be easily removed again. When assembling, the long sides are simply folded together at the folding joints. Unfolding and thus assembling the wardrobe is therefore easy.

A further development of the invention provides that the rods forming the long sides of the wardrobe are arranged at the ends that come into contact with the floor or the lid so that they can rotate or pivot or the like relative to the floor or the lid.

The long sides can already be firmly connected to the base or lid, i.e. as a single part. This means that no individual parts need to be put together. When assembling, the long sides are simply unfolded at the folding joints.

An embodiment according to the invention provides that eight rods and four folding joints are provided for the long sides of the wardrobe.

Each long side is made up of two rods that are connected to each other by a hinged joint.

According to the invention, the height of the cabinet is a maximum of twice as high as its width.

The width of the folded cupboard is determined by the width of the base or lid. If the bars are folded together in the middle at the folding joint, they disappear completely under the lid and the folded cupboard is no wider than the maximum width of the lid or base.

In order to fix the long sides in an assembled wardrobe, according to the invention, at least one fastening element, preferably a band or the like, is provided which surrounds a rod in the area of a folding joint in the assembled state of the wardrobe inside the cover, or a preferably at least approximately cylindrical element which at least approximately overlaps the folding joint in the assembled state is provided for fixing the rods, wherein preferably a fixation is provided on at least one rod or in the area of the folding joint for positioning the cylindrical element.

If the bars on the long sides are unfolded, they can be tied down using the strap, so that the bars and thus the entire wardrobe cannot be accidentally folded together. Two straps can also be provided for each long side, preferably one above and one below the folding joint. In the other embodiment for securing the long sides, the rods are connected to one another in a foldable manner. To secure the wardrobe when it is assembled, a sleeve or similar is pushed over the folding joint so that the rods cannot fold out. The sleeve should preferably be fixed in place, for example by a projection supporting the sleeve or by the shape of the sleeve, which determines its position precisely.

Another embodiment according to the invention provides that in the case of two rods connected by a folding joint, at least one rod has a stabilizing element for the folding joint which overlaps the other rod when the wardrobe is assembled.

This stabilizing element stabilizes the folding joint when the wardrobe is assembled.

In a further development of the invention, the stabilizing element is arranged at the end of a rod in an extension of the rod in such a way that, when the wardrobe is assembled, it limits the folding movement of the folding joint to such an extent that the two rods connected by the folding joint can be folded so far that they can be aligned in a line or parallel to one another, but folding of the rods outwards in the direction of the cover is prevented.

An advantageous development of the invention provides for this purpose that an at least approximately ring-shaped holding element is provided on the rod, which does not have a stabilizing element in the area of the folding joint, which can be guided over the stabilizing element for fixing in the assembled state of the wardrobe.

This holding element prevents the poles from folding together accidentally. If the poles are to be folded together, the ring-shaped holding element must be pushed away from the stabilizing element.

For a good fixation by the holding element, according to the invention it is provided that the holding element tapers conically and/or a projection or the like is provided on the rod with the stabilizing element for fixing the holding element.

The holding element is fixed in a certain position without the possibility of unintentional slipping.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that at least two rods are arranged so as to be rotatable in parallel to one another, wherein in the assembled state of the wardrobe an approximately oval retaining ring can be guided from at least one rod over the parallel projecting end of the second rod in order to produce a firm connection.

In order to prevent the cabinet from being accidentally folded up, a further development of the invention provides that the stabilizing element has a recess which interacts with a corresponding projection on the folding element or a projection on the rod without a stabilizing element for fixing the folding joint.

This keeps the stabilizing element in a predetermined position.

According to the invention, the bars forming the long sides of the wardrobe can also be secured by fixing the folding element between two bars by means of a screw connection.

For example, a screw with a lock nut can be provided, whereby the screw head should advantageously be designed in such a way that it can be tightened without the aid of tools or the like. A screw with a particularly large head is particularly suitable here, which should advantageously also be coated with plastic.

According to the invention, it is provided that when the wardrobe is assembled and dismantled, all the rods forming the inner frame are connected to one another and preferably only the folding joints are released during dismantling.

There is no danger that individual parts could fall apart during assembly or that they are not put together tightly enough so that the cover cannot be pulled over.

One embodiment of the invention provides that the outer shape of the floor and/or the lid of the wardrobe is formed by rods in the inner frame.

This gives the wardrobe sufficient stability, while keeping the overall weight relatively low. The wardrobes according to the invention are assembled and disassembled more frequently depending on their use. A relatively light overall weight is advantageous here.

To ensure sufficient stability of the base and/or the lid, the invention provides that the base and/or the lid are stabilized by at least one further transverse and/or at least one longitudinal bar.

For further stabilization of the wardrobe, the invention provides that the floor and/or the lid of the wardrobe can be stabilized by at least one floor and/or lid board, wherein the floor and/or lid board are preferably designed in several parts or are collapsible.

The additional base board in particular gives the wardrobe increased stability. Preferably, the base and/or top boards should not be firmly attached to the wardrobe so that they can be removed during dismantling and thus reduce the total weight of the wardrobe.

When folding, the opposing bars are offset from each other so that they do not collide with each other and thus hinder the folding process.

According to the invention, it is also possible for the folding joint (54, 80) to be independently fixable, in particular latchable, in its position determined for the assembled state of the wardrobe (2) and preferably to be provided with a release device for the dismantled state.

A self-locking folding joint provides additional stability and can make fixing straps, almost cylindrical, sliding fixing elements, other stabilizing elements and the like superfluous. However, greater stability when the wardrobe is assembled is achieved by combining other fixing options with a self-locking folding joint.

For example, a solution that can be considered as an independently fixable folding joint is one in which the folding element locks into this position when the two rods connected by it are at an angle of 180°. For example, the folding joint can consist of approximately disc-shaped bodies that are connected to one another in a way that can be rotated, with a gear or a locking projection into which a detachable hook or a detachable clamp, preferably with a spring, engages, as is common in folding loungers, for example.

The invention is in no way limited to a wardrobe in which the rods forming the long sides of the wardrobe are limited to two rods each with a folding joint. Of course, several rods with several folding joints can also be provided for one long side. In this case, the height of the wardrobe can also be higher than the entire width of the wardrobe because the rods forming the long sides are shorter and therefore take up less space when the wardrobe is folded up.

Furthermore, the invention is not limited to a wardrobe. Such containers can also be used for other purposes. They are used in particular for storing solid objects.

Figure 1 shows a wardrobe (2) for storing items of clothing. This consists of an internal frame (not visible here) which is covered with a cover (4) made of synthetic material. In the front wall of this wardrobe (2) there is an opening which is closed by a zipper (6). The shape of the opening is approximately semicircular and extends over almost the entire front wall, so that this wardrobe (2) can be opened very wide to load or remove items of clothing, making this easier.

Figure 3 shows the interior view of the wardrobe according to Figure 1. The long sides of the wardrobe each consist of two bars. The left long side is formed by the lower left side bar (18) and the upper left side bar (20); accordingly, the right long side is formed by the lower right side bar (22) and the upper right side bar (24).

The respective individual rods of the long sides are connected to one another via a folding joint, namely the left front folding joint (26) and the right front folding joint (28), and are thus arranged such that they can move relative to one another. The lower left side rod (18) is movable but firmly connected to the front bottom rod (16) via the lower left base connection (30). Similarly, the upper left side rod (20) is movable to the front cover rod (14) via the upper left cover connection (32), but is also firmly connected to the cover rod (14). The same applies to the right long side. The lid is given stability by the additional crossbar (46) which is arranged between the rear lid bar (44) and the front lid bar (14) and is aligned parallel to the left lid bar (40) and the right lid bar (42). Below the lid and at a slight distance from it there is a clothes rail (48) which extends across the entire width of the wardrobe (2) and is aligned parallel to the front lid bar (14) and the rear lid bar (44). This is arranged at a slight distance from the bars (40, 14, 42 and 44) forming the lid (38) so that coat hangers can be hung over this bar without difficulty and without causing problems with the lid or the cover which borders the outside of the wardrobe (2).

However, the clothes rail (48) should preferably not be too far away from the lid (38) so that the wardrobe (2) has sufficient height inside so that even longer items of clothing can be hung up.

In Figure 6, the lower left side bar (18) and the upper left side bar (20), which are connected by the left front hinge (26), are shown enlarged. Here, it is easy to see that the lower left side bar (18) and the upper left side bar (20) are connected to one another by a rivet connection forming the left front hinge (26). The design of the embodiment in Figure 8 is similar to the design in Figure 7. Here, a lower side bar (62) is connected to an upper side bar (64). Again, a stabilizing element (66) is hinged to the lower side bar (62), which is arranged as an extension of the lower side bar (62). The fixation takes place here via the ring-shaped holding element (68), which is fixed downwards by the projection (70).

Wardrobe for storing items of clothing, textiles or other objects with an inner frame preferably formed from rods or the like and a cover forming the outer boundary of the wardrobe, characterized in that at least one folding joint (26, 28, 54, 80 ) or the like is provided for each of the rods ( 18 , 20 , 22 , 24 , 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) or the like forming the long sides of the wardrobe ( 2 ) . 2. Wardrobe according to claim 1, characterized in that the rods ( 18 , 20 , 22 , 24 , 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) forming the long sides of the wardrobe ( 2 ) are arranged at the ends that come into contact with the base ( 12 ) or the lid ( 10 , 38 ) so as to be rotatable or pivotable or the like relative to the base ( 12 ) or lid ( 10 , 38 ). 3. Wardrobe according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the case of two rods ( 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) connected by a folding joint ( 54 ), at least one rod ( 50 , 62 , 76 ) has a stabilizing element ( 56 , 66 , 88 ) for the folding joint ( 54 , 80 ) which overlaps the other rod ( 52 , 64 , 78 ) in the assembled state of the wardrobe. 7. Wardrobe according to claim 6, characterized in that the stabilizing element ( 56 , 66 , 88 ) is arranged at the end of a rod ( 50 , 62 , 76 ) in an extension of the rod ( 50 , 62 , 76 ) in such a way that, in the assembled state of the wardrobe, it limits the folding movement of the folding joint ( 54 , 80 ) to such an extent that the two rods ( 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) connected by the folding joint ( 54 , 80 ) can be folded so far that they can be aligned in a line or parallel to one another, but folding of the rods ( 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) outwards in the direction of the cover is prevented. 8. Wardrobe according to one of claims 6 to 10, characterized in that the stabilizing element ( 88 ) has a recess ( 86 ) which cooperates with a corresponding projection ( 84 ) on the folding element or a projection on the rod without a stabilizing element for fixing the folding joint. 12. Wardrobe according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the folding element can be fixed between two rods by a screw connection. 13. Wardrobe according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the assembled and dismantled state of the wardrobe ( 2 ) all the rods ( 14 , 16 , 18 , 20 , 22 , 24 , 40 , 42 , 44 , 46 , 50 , 52 , 62 , 64 , 76 , 78 ) forming the inner framework are connected to one another and preferably only the folding joints ( 26 , 28 , 54 , 80 ) are released during dismantling. 14. Wardrobe according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outer shape of the base ( 12 ) and/or the lid ( 10 , 38 ) of the wardrobe ( 2 ) in the inner frame is formed by rods ( 14 , 40 , 42 , 44 ). 15. Wardrobe according to claim 14, characterized in that the base and/or the lid ( 38 ) are stabilized by at least one further transverse bar ( 46 ) and/or at least one longitudinal bar. 16. Wardrobe according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the floor ( 12 ) and/or the lid ( 10 , 38 ) of the wardrobe ( 2 ) can be stabilized by at least one floor and/or lid board, wherein the floor and/or lid board are preferably designed in several parts or are collapsible. 17. Wardrobe according to claim 16, characterized in that the base and/or the top board are made of plastic. 18.
