Für das Färben von Haaren gewinnen neben Oxidationshaarfarbstoffen, die durch oxidative Kupplung einer oder mehrerer Entwicklerkomponenten untereinander gebildet werden, in zunehmendem Maße direktziehende Farbstoffe an Bedeutung. Von zunehmender Bedeutung sind hierbei insbesondere Haarfärbemittel auf der Basis von sauren Farbstoffen, da hierdurch eine besonders schonende Haarfärbung ermöglicht werden soll. Ein Problem dieser Haarfärbemittel besteht in der häufig auftretenden starken Anfärbung der Kopfhaut sowie der angrenzenden Hautpartien. Eine Möglichkeit dieses Problem zu vermeiden besteht darin, dass eine gelförmige Haarfärbezubereitung verwendet wird und dieses Gel sehr genau in einem Abstand von 1 bis 2 mm zur Kopfhaut und unter Vermeidung eines Hautkontaktes auf das Haar aufgetragen wird. Dies ist jedoch mit den derzeit bekannten Haarfärbegelen, welche Cellulose zur Verdickung verwenden, nicht möglich, da diese Gele nur unzureichend am Haar haften und relativ leicht vom Haar ablaufen.In addition to oxidation hair dyes, which are formed by oxidative coupling of one or more developer components with one another, direct dyes are becoming increasingly important for hair coloring. Weiterhin können Triethylenglycolmonobutylether und 2-Benzyloxyethanol sowie Ethanol und Isopropanol zugesetzt werden.
