Lock for locking two parts

Description

The invention relates to a lock for locking two parts, in particular a lid of a trash can with the trash can.

According to the state of the art, the lids of garbage bins that are available to the public, for example in parks, are locked to the bin so that the garbage cannot be removed without authorization and, for example, scattered in the park.

The state-of-the-art locks used to lock the lids to the trash cans are

have a locking hook which is held in a closed position by spiral springs.

When emptying the garbage can, the lid is often simply slammed shut after the new garbage bag has been put in. This state-of-the-art lock has the disadvantage that the spiral spring in particular breaks after a very short time. In addition, when opening the lock with a key, no attention is paid to the position of the bolt. This is usually not visible from the outside. If the bolt is not locked, the lock is essentially over-tightened with the key, so that springs and other parts of the lock are also damaged very quickly.

The technical problem underlying the invention is to provide a lock, in particular for garbage cans, which is robust and stable and, moreover, inexpensive to manufacture.

This technical problem is solved by a lock having the features according to claim 1.

Because the lock according to the invention has a leaf spring that holds the locking hook in a closed position, the lock according to the invention has a long service life, even when used improperly for a long time.

The leaf spring advantageously has a Z-shape in longitudinal section. This shape is advantageous because it is not vulnerable when the lid is slammed shut with great force. Furthermore, one leg can be easily attached to the trash can or, advantageously, to a housing in which

the locking hook and the leaf spring are arranged. In addition, the upper part, which is connected to the cover by force, can be made rounded.

The leaf spring has two functions:

1. The latch is held in the closed position by the leaf spring.

2. The leaf spring pushes the lid upwards after unlocking.

Because the leaf spring pushes the lid upwards after unlocking, it is easier for the people emptying the bin to open the lid. In addition, it is visually apparent that the lock is unlocked and there is an acoustic sound when the lid springs open.

The leaf spring is also strong enough to immediately and reliably push the latch back into the closed position when the lid is closed or slammed shut.

The lock according to the invention is advantageously designed to be encapsulated. This means that the locking hook and the leaf spring are arranged in a housing. This housing is advantageously attached to the trash can. According to a preferred embodiment, this housing is extended towards the floor. In this case, it can be designed as one of three feet of the trash can.

The locking hook receptacle is also advantageously arranged in a housing which is arranged on the cover. In accordance with a preferred embodiment

the housing of the locking hook holder of the lid overlaps the housing of the locking hook and the leaf spring of the garbage can, after closing and simultaneously locking the lid, the lock is no longer accessible from the outside to unauthorized persons. The locking hook cannot be opened from the outside without authorization. This is only possible with the help of a key that engages in a key holder. With the help of the key, the locking hook is moved against the spring pressure in/or on the locking hook holder in such a way that the locking hook no longer engages behind the locking hook holder and the lid, as already explained, springs open due to the spring force of the leaf spring.

The leaf spring is fixed in the housing. It can be attached to the housing using screws or rivets, for example. It is at least attached in such a way that the screws are not accessible or operable from the outside.

The area of application of the lock according to the invention is not limited to garbage cans. According to the invention, it is also possible to use the lock according to the invention in other areas of application. For example, an application for locking doors is conceivable.

Fig. 1 shows a lock (1), wherein a locking hook (2) and a leaf spring (3) are arranged in a housing (4). The leaf spring (3) is Z-shaped in longitudinal section. It has a rounded upper end (5) and its other end (6) is fastened to the housing (4) with rivets (7, 8). The housing (4) is fastened to a first part to be locked (not shown). The locking hook (2) engages behind a locking hook receptacle (9) which is arranged in a housing (10). The housing (10) is fastened to a second part to be locked (not shown).

The leaf spring (3) exerts a force on the locking hook (2) such that the locking hook (2) engages behind the locking hook holder (9).

If the locking hook (2) is actuated via a key holder (11) in such a way that it is moved away from the locking hook holder (9), the spring (3) presses the housing (10) upwards in the direction of the arrow (A).

The open state is shown in Fig. 2. According to this figure, the locking hook (2) is held against the spring force of the leaf spring (3) by means of a key (not shown).

Fig. 3 shows a trash can (12) with a lid (13). The housing (4) with the locking hook (2) and the leaf spring (3) is arranged on the trash can. The housing (4) is pulled through to the bottom (14) of the trash can (12) and has the function of a foot. The cross section of the housing (4) corresponds to the cross section of feet (15).

The housing (10) with the locking hook holder (9) is arranged on the lid (13) of the trash can. When the lid (13) is closed, the locking hook (2) snaps behind the locking hook holder (9). The housing (10) then overlaps the upper part of the housing (4), so that only the key holder (11) is accessible from the outside.

Claims (13)

1. Lock for locking two parts, the lock having a latching hook on a first part and a latching hook receptacle on a second part, the latching hook being designed as a latching hook which partially engages behind the latching hook receptacle in a closed position, characterized in that the latching hook ( 2 ) is held in the closed position by means of a leaf spring ( 3 ). 2. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the leaf spring ( 3 ) is Z-shaped in longitudinal section. 3. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that one leg of the leaf spring ( 3 ) is designed as a leg exerting a force on the second part ( 10 ) which has the latching hook receptacle ( 9 ). 4. Lock according to claim 3, characterized in that the leg pressing against the second part ( 10 ) having the latching hook receptacle ( 9 ) is rounded at its end ( 5 ). 5. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the leaf spring ( 3 ) is fixedly arranged on one of the parts to be locked ( 4 , 12 ). 6. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the leaf spring ( 3 ) is fastened to the one part ( 4 ) by means of at least one screw or at least one rivet ( 7 , 8 ). 7. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the leaf spring ( 3 ) and the locking hook ( 2 ) are arranged in a housing ( 4 ). 8. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the latching hook receptacle ( 9 ) is arranged in a housing ( 10 ). 9. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the housing ( 10 ) of the latching hook receptacle ( 9 ) is designed to partially overlap the housing ( 4 ) of the latching hook ( 2 ) and the leaf spring ( 3 ) in the locked state. 10. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the housings ( 4 , 10 ) are cylindrical. 11. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the housings ( 4 , 10 ) are fixedly arranged on the parts to be locked ( 12 , 13 ). 12. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking hook ( 2 ) is designed as a locking hook ( 2 ) that can be operated with a key. 13. Lock according to claim 1, characterized in that a key receptacle ( 11 ) is arranged on or in an outer side of the housing ( 4 ) of the locking hook ( 2 ).
