The present invention relates to a shower partition according to the preamble of one of the independent claims.

From DE 296 19 954 Ul, which forms the starting point of the present invention, a shower partition is known in which a fixed partition panel is attached to a wall by means of a bearing block. The bearing block also holds a hinge that supports a door panel in an articulated manner. A first hinge tab is connected to the door panel. A second hinge tab rests against the partition panel and is held by the bearing block.

The two panes overlap each other, with the door pane being adjustable across the hinge axis in its plate plane. The fixed partition pane is also adjustable across the hinge axis in its plate plane and has a corresponding slot through which a screw passes, which connects the bearing block to the second hinge flap. Due to the aforementioned adjustability of the fixed partition pane and because the hinge surrounds the fixed partition pane at its free vertical edge, the hinge axis is arranged at a distance from the free vertical edge of the fixed partition pane on the flat side facing away from the door pane. The hinge is therefore of considerable size.

EP 1 013 210 A2 discloses a very similar shower partition. Here, however, the door panel is arranged on the side of the fixed partition facing away from the bearing block. This allows the hinge axis to be arranged in the area of the fixed partition. However, the hinge axis is arranged on the flat side of the door panel facing away from the partition, which again results in a considerable size of the hinge.

The present invention is based on the object of specifying a shower partition which enables a compact hinge construction and a simple, universal installation.

The above object is achieved by a shower partition according to one of the independent claims. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the subclaims.

A basic idea of the present invention is to arrange the hinge tabs on the flat sides of the panes facing each other and/or to arrange the hinge axis on the side facing the door pane in the area of a vertical edge of the partition pane and/or between the panes or their main planes. This allows a very compact design of the hinge

A further aspect of the present invention, which can also be implemented independently, is to arrange a bearing element and a hinge tab, which are assigned to a fixed cutting disc, on a flat side of the cutting disc and to provide a holding element on the opposite flat side, which connects the hinge tab to the bearing element and/or has projections for axially covering or securing a hinge pin held by the hinge tab. This enables a compact structure with simple assembly. In particular, when hinge tabs are connected via the hinge pin, special sealing and securing of the hinge pin is not required. Rather, the holding element can secure the hinge pin against axial displacement and at the same time cover it so that the hinge joint is adequately protected against splash water.

Another aspect of the present invention is characterized in that a slide-like displacement of the door panel is provided, whereby a connecting element can be firmly connected to the door panel, in particular before the hinge is assembled, and when the shower partition or hinge is assembled, in particular only on site, its connecting element can be pushed into the associated hinge flap and fixed in the desired position, i.e. with the desired overlap with the fixed partition panel. This enables extensive prefabrication and simple final assembly on site. In particular, the slide guide also eliminates the need for coating or lubrication of the interlocking parts, which is otherwise often required.

Yet another aspect of the present invention, which may also be implemented independently, is to provide the shower partition with a connecting arrangement for connecting a bearing element to an element of the shower partition or to a wall.

According to a first embodiment, the bearing element has an elongated hole with a grooved surface on the side. A support element with a correspondingly grooved counter surface rests on the surface, and a fastening element, such as a screw, passes through the support element and the adjacent elongated hole. This prevents the fastening element from slipping in the elongated hole.

According to a second embodiment, the bearing element has an elongated hole with chamfered (partially inclined) side surfaces. At least one of the side surfaces is provided with a longitudinal edge that protrudes from the inclined plane. When a fastening element with a countersunk head engages, the countersunk head presses into the longitudinal edge, so that a quasi-positive lock is formed to prevent the fastening element from slipping in the elongated hole.

According to a third embodiment, an elastically deformable bearing ring is inserted into an opening in the bearing element in the connection arrangement. The bearing ring is designed to be elastically deformable and supports the bearing element on an associated wall, whereby the bearing element is held against an associated wall by a fastening element, such as a screw, that passes through the opening and the bearing ring. The bearing ring compensates for the usual unevenness of the wall and at the same time enables sealing of both the bearing element or the opening formed therein and a recess on the wall into which the fastening element engages.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic, perspective view of a section of a proposed shower partition 1 with a door pane 2, a fixed partition pane 3 and at least one hinge 4. The door pane 2 is preferably held by two hinges 4. Fig. 2 shows the shower partition 1 in plan view.

In Fig. 1 and 2, the shower partition 1 is shown with the door or door pane 2 closed.

In the example shown, the door pane 2 and the partition pane 3 overlap when the door pane 2 is closed. The door pane 2 is arranged on the inside of the partition pane 3, i.e. on the side of the partition pane 3 that faces the shower area separated from the shower partition 1 and not described in more detail here.

The hinge 4 pivotably supports or holds the door pane 2 and, in the example shown, is fastened to a stationary bearing element 5, with the partition pane 3 being held by the bearing element 5 at the same time.

The bearing element 5 is here designed in the form of a web or arch and in particular is designed as a hollow profile that can be opened for assembly purposes and can be closed by means of a cover not specified in more detail, in particular with a smooth surface and in particular on the side facing the shower interior.

The hinge 4 has a first hinge tab 6, which is connected to the door pane 2, and a second hinge tab 7, which is connected to the partition pane 3. The two hinge tabs 6, 7 can be pivoted relative to one another about a hinge axis 10, here connected to one another via a separately inserted hinge pin 11, which is indicated in Fig. 2.

The hinge axis 10 is arranged in the area or near a free vertical edge 12 of the partition 3 adjacent to the door pane 2, in particular at least substantially in the extension of the flat side 9 of the partition 3 facing the door pane 2. Preferably, the hinge axis 10 is arranged at least substantially between the panes 2, 3 or their extensions or main planes. This enables a very compact design of the hinge 4.

A holding element 14 is arranged on the flat side 13 of the partition 3 that is located outside or facing away from the door pane 2 and is connected on the one hand to the bearing element 5 and on the other hand to the second hinge flap 7, preferably in each case through the partition 3. The holding element 14 transfers the forces acting on the second hinge flap 7 at least partially to the bearing element 5, so that the partition 3 is not subjected to excessive loads.

Fig. 3 shows a schematic side view of the first hinge flap 6 in a pivoted position opened by 90°, without the door pane 2 inserted. It can be seen that in the example shown, the first hinge flap 6 has two bearing eyes 15 and the second hinge flap 7 has a bearing eye 16 arranged here between the two bearing eyes 15 mentioned, which are connected to one another by the inserted hinge pin 11 to form the hinge joint.

“ Fig. 3 also shows that the holding element 14 has sections or projections 17 which extend around the longitudinal edge 12 and axially cover the joint connection of the hinge tabs 6 and 7 at the top and bottom. In particular, the sections or projections 17 axially cover the external bearing eyes 15 and/or the hinge pin 11 on the outside, whereby the hinge pin 11 is axially secured and/or the joint connection is protected - at least to a certain extent - against splash water.

In the example shown, the holding element 14 is connected to the bearing element 5 by a connecting part 18, in particular a screw or the like, which passes through the cutting disc 3, as indicated in Fig. 2. If necessary, the bearing element 5 and/or the holding element 14 can be provided with a preferably cylindrical projection which engages in a corresponding bore in the cutting disc 3 and has a threaded bore for the connecting part 18 to be screwed in. This also facilitates assembly, whereby a defined position of the bearing element 5 or holding element 14 in relation to the cutting disc 3 is established.

A corresponding connection is preferably formed between the holding element 14 and the second hinge tab 7, wherein preferably two connecting parts 18 and possibly also at least two cylindrical projections are provided to form the connection in order to hold the second hinge tab 7 in a rotationally secure manner.

Preferably, the second hinge tab 7 forms a stop 19 for the longitudinal edge 12 of the cutting disc 3 by means of a correspondingly projecting contact surface, bend or the like. In this way, a defined position of the two-

hinge tabs 6, 7 on the associated cutting disc 3 are ensured or supported.

Preferably, the cutting disc 3 is held non-adjustably by the bearing element 5. If required, however, the cutting disc 3 can also be adjustable vertically and/or horizontally in its plate plane.

Fig. 4 shows in a sectional view along line IV-IV of Fig. 2 the first hinge flap 6 and a preferred attachment of the associated door panel

Ø 2. A connecting element 20 is inserted into a corresponding bore or recess in the door pane 2 and is firmly connected to the door pane 2. The connecting element 20 forms a slide-like guide 21 for the first hinge flap 6. For this purpose, the connecting element 20 in the example shown has guide webs 22 pointing away from one another, which can be pushed or inserted into corresponding guide grooves 23 of the associated hinge flap 6, 7.

The slide-like guide 21 allows a displacement of the door pane 2 transversely to the hinge axis 10 in the plate plane of the door pane 2.

In the example shown, a rib 24 on the first hinge lobe 6 is used to fix the door or door panel 2 in a desired sliding position, i.e. to block the guide 21, and is provided in particular for reinforcement and runs along the sliding direction. A screw 25, in particular a grub screw or the like, can act on this rib transversely to the plane of the door panel 2. The screw 25 is preferably supported on the connecting element 20 in a suitable threaded hole and, when tightened, causes the connecting element 20 to be braced relative to the hinge lobe 6. The screw 25 presses on the rib 24, in particular with a pointed end, if necessary into a longitudinal groove formed on the rib 21, for example with a triangular cross section.

The connecting element 20 is in turn attached to the door panel 2 by means of a counter element 26. For this purpose, the counter element 26 is inserted into the recess for the connecting element 20 from the flat side 27 facing away from the first hinge flap 6 and is connected to the connecting element 20, here by

a screw 28 or the like. In this way, the connecting element 20 and the counter element 26 are attached to the door pane 2 in a form-fitting manner. This attachment can already take place in the factory during pre-assembly. The insertion of the door pane 2 with preferably two pre-assembled connecting elements 20 into two corresponding first hinge flaps 6 of associated hinges 4 can then, if necessary, only take place during final assembly, in particular on site.

After adjusting the door pane 2, i.e. blocking the guide 21 by tightening the screw 25, the counter element 26 can be covered by a cover 29 towards the shower room, i.e. in particular on its flat side facing away from the door pane 2 and preferably at least substantially around its entire edge or border area. Preferably, a guide 30 is formed for the cover 29, as indicated in Fig. 4, so that the cover 29 can be moved or adjusted relative to the counter element 26 in accordance with the slide-like guide 21 - i.e. transversely to the hinge axis 10 and parallel to the plate plane of the door pane 2. In particular, the cover 29 can be fixed in a desired displacement position so that the partially open hinge tab 6 on the other plate side 8 is covered. In particular, the guide 30 can be blocked by means of a grub screw (not shown) or the like after the cover 29 has been adjusted.

In the following, some special aspects are explained which, if required, can also be implemented independently of the structure of the shower partition 1 explained above.

According to a first embodiment, the shower partition 1 has a connection arrangement 31 for connecting the bearing element 5 to an element of the shower partition 1, here the partition 3 or the holding element 14, or to a wall 32, for example a bathroom wall, a room wall or another stationary element, as indicated in the schematic sectional view according to Fig. 5. In this embodiment, the bearing element 5 has an elongated hole 33 through which a fastening element 34, in particular a screw or the like, passes, which fastens or holds the bearing element 5 to the wall 32.

The top view according to Fig. 6 shows that along the longitudinal extension of the elongated hole 33 on the side facing away from the wall 32 there are support surfaces 35 which are grooved transversely to the longitudinal extension of the elongated hole 33. A support element 36 with a correspondingly grooved counter surface 37 rests on these support surfaces 35, so that the support element 36 is secured against slipping or displacement in the longitudinal extension of the elongated hole 33 by the interlocking, grooved surfaces 35, 37.

The support element 36 further has a through hole so that the fastening element 34 also reaches through the support element 36 and, in the tightened or screwed state, holds or presses the counter-bearing element 36 against the bearing element 5, whereby the bearing element 5 is held or secured immovably on the wall 32.

If required, the counter bearing element 37 can have a projection 38, indicated in Fig. 5, which projects into the elongated hole 33 and is adapted to its width in such a way that a lateral displacement of the support element 36 transversely to the longitudinal extension of the elongated hole 33 is prevented.

Fig. 7 shows a partially perspective sectional view of the connecting arrangement 30 according to a second embodiment. Instead of grooved support surfaces 35, the elongated hole 33 has chamfered side surfaces 39, with the associated fastening element 34 being designed accordingly as a countersunk head screw with a countersunk head 40 adapted in its condicity.

To prevent displacement, i.e. to secure the fastening element 34 against slipping in the elongated hole 33 in its longitudinal extension, longitudinal edges 41 are preferably provided on both side surfaces 39, which each project relative to the inclination plane of the associated side surface 39, for example are triangular in cross-section, wherein the longitudinal edges 41 are preferably made of a softer material than the fastening element 34 or its countersunk head 40.

When the fastening element 34 is tightened or tightened, its countersunk head 40 presses into the longitudinal edges 41 in some areas and deforms them.

Accordingly, the undeformed areas of the longitudinal edges 41, which are laterally connected to the countersunk head 40, form the desired securing of the fastening element 35 in the elongated hole 33 against unwanted displacement or slipping in the longitudinal extension of the elongated hole 33.

Fig. 8 shows a schematic sectional view of a third embodiment of the connection arrangement 31 of the shower partition 1. The bearing element 5 here has an opening 42, in particular in the form of a bore or the like. An elastically deformable bearing ring 43 is inserted into the opening 42, which extends in a ring shape or like a ring flange onto the contact side of the bearing element 5 facing the fastening wall 32.

In the fastened state or when the fastening element 34 is tightened, which in turn is preferably designed as a screw, the bearing element 5 is pressed against the wall 32, with the part of the bearing ring 43 located between the bearing element 5 and the wall 32 supporting the bearing element 5 and/or creating a seal. Depending on the design, a seal can thus be formed between the fastening element 34 and the opening 42, in particular against splash water or shower water. In addition, alternatively or additionally, a seal can be formed on the borehole 44 for receiving the fastening element 34 in the wall 32.

If necessary, the bearing ring 43 is not closed - in particular to facilitate assembly or insertion into the opening 42. For example, the bearing ring 43 can have a radial slot (not shown) or the like.

Preferably, the bearing ring 43 has an outwardly open annular groove 45 into which the side turn of the opening 42 engages, whereby the bearing ring 43, in particular in the pre-assembled state, is securely held in the opening 42.

Claims (17)

1. Shower partition ( 1 ) with a door pane ( 2 ), a fixed partition pane ( 3 ) and at least one hinge ( 4 ) for pivotably holding the door pane ( 2 ) and in particular for supporting it on the partition pane ( 3 ) and/or on a preferably stationary bearing element ( 5 ), the hinge ( 4 ) having a first hinge tab ( 6 ) connected to the door pane ( 2 ) and a second hinge tab ( 7 ) connected to the partition pane ( 3 ) and which is connected to the first in an articulated manner, the panes ( 2 , 3 ) overlapping one another, characterized in that the hinge tabs ( 6 , 7 ) are arranged on mutually facing flat sides ( 8 , 9 ) of the panes ( 2 , 3 ) and/or that the hinge axis ( 10 ) is on the side facing the door pane ( 2 ). Side (9) is arranged in the region of a vertical edge ( 12 ) of the cutting disc ( 3 ) and/or between the discs ( 2 , 3 ) or their main planes. 2. Shower partition according to claim 1, characterized in that the hinge tabs ( 6 , 7 ) can be placed against one another, in particular when the door pane ( 2 ) is closed, and/or are complementarily shaped on the outside. 3. Shower partition ( 1 ) with a door pane ( 2 ), a fixed partition pane ( 3 ) and at least one hinge ( 4 ) for pivotably holding the door pane ( 2 ) and in particular for supporting it on the partition pane ( 3 ) and/or on a preferably stationary bearing element ( 5 ), the hinge ( 4 ) having a first hinge tab ( 6 ) connected to the door pane ( 2 ) and a second hinge tab ( 7 ) connected to the partition pane ( 3 ), which is connected to the first in an articulated manner, in particular according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the hinge ( 4 ) has a holding element ( 14 ) arranged on the flat side ( 13 ) of the partition pane ( 3 ) facing away from the second hinge tab ( 7 ), which has projections ( 17 ) for axially covering and/or securing a hinge tab ( 6 , 7) ) articulated hinge pin ( 11 ) and/or which is connected both to the bearing element ( 5 ) and to the second hinge tab ( 7 ). 4. Shower partition according to claim 3, characterized in that the holding element ( 14 ) is connected to the bearing element ( 5 ) and/or to the second hinge tab ( 7 ) in each case by means of a connecting part ( 18 ) which passes through the partition pane ( 3 ), in particular a screw. 5. Shower partition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the hinge tabs ( 6 , 7 ) are arranged at least substantially free of spacing, optionally via elastic elements in between, in each case to the associated pane ( 2 , 3 ). 6. Shower partition according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second hinge tab ( 7 ) is connected to the partition pane ( 3 ) in such a way that the partition pane ( 3 ) and the second hinge tab ( 7 ) - at least transversely to the hinge axis ( 10 ) - are not adjustable relative to one another. 7. Shower partition ( 1 ) with a door pane ( 2 ), a fixed partition pane ( 3 ) and at least one hinge ( 4 ) for pivotably holding the door pane ( 2 ) and in particular for supporting it on the partition pane ( 3 ) and/or on a preferably stationary bearing element ( 5 ), the hinge ( 4 ) having a first hinge tab ( 6 ) connected to the door pane ( 2 ) and a second hinge tab ( 7 ) connected to the partition pane ( 3 ), which is connected to the first in an articulated manner, in particular wherein the panes ( 2 , 3 ) overlap one another, in particular according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a pane ( 2 , 3 ), in particular the door pane ( 2 ), is assigned a connecting element ( 20 ) which can be firmly connected to this pane ( 2 , 3 ), in particular before the hinge ( 4 ) is assembled. and forms a slide-like guide ( 21 ) for the hinge tab ( 6 , 7 ) associated with this disc ( 2 , 3 ), so that this and this disc ( 2 , 3 ) are adjustable relative to one another, in particular transversely to the hinge axis ( 10 ). 8. Shower partition according to claim 7, characterized in that the hinge tab ( 6 , 7 ) has a rib ( 24 ) against which a screw ( 25 ) held by the connecting element ( 20 ) can be pressed or pressed into in order to fix the relative position. 9. Shower partition according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the connecting element ( 20 ) is connected to a counter element ( 26 ) on the opposite flat side ( 27 ) for fastening to the associated pane ( 2 , 3 ), in particular wherein the counter element ( 26 ) forms a guide ( 30 ) for an adjustable cover ( 29 ). 10. Shower partition according to one of claims 7 to 9, characterized in that the hinge ( 4 ) has a cover ( 29 ) associated with the connecting element ( 20 ) which is adjustable at least substantially in accordance with the hinge tab ( 6 , 7 ) on the side of the associated pane ( 2 , 3 ) facing away from the hinge tab ( 6 , 7 ). 11. Shower partition ( 1 ), in particular according to one of the preceding claims, with a connection arrangement ( 31 ) for connecting a bearing element ( 5 ) to an element of the shower partition ( 1 ) or to a wall ( 32 ), wherein the bearing element ( 5 ) has an elongated hole ( 33 ), a fastening element ( 34 ) passing through the elongated hole ( 33 ) and support surfaces ( 35 ) for the fastening element ( 34 ) adjoining the elongated hole ( 33 ) along its longitudinal extension on the side facing away from the wall ( 32 ) or the element of the shower partition ( 1 ), characterized in that the support surfaces ( 35 ) are grooved or profiled and that the fastening element ( 34 ) is supported on the Support surfaces ( 35 ). 12. Shower partition ( 1 ), in particular according to one of the preceding claims, with a connection arrangement ( 31 ) for connecting a bearing element ( 5 ) to an element of the shower partition ( 1 ) or to a wall ( 32 ), the bearing element ( 5 ) having an elongated hole ( 33 ) with bevelled side surfaces ( 39 ) and a fastening element ( 34 ) passing through the elongated hole ( 33 ), in particular a screw, with a countersunk head ( 40 ), characterized in that at least one of the side surfaces ( 39 ) is provided with a longitudinal edge ( 41 ) which projects relative to the inclination plane of the associated side surface ( 39 ), so that when the connection is tightened, in particular by screwing the fastening element ( 34 ), the countersunk head ( 40 ) presses into the longitudinal edge ( 41 ) in some areas and thereby prevents longitudinal displacement in the elongated hole (33). 33 ) can be secured. 13. Shower partition ( 1 ), in particular according to one of the preceding claims, with a connecting arrangement ( 31 ) for connecting a bearing element ( 5 ) to a wall ( 32 ), the bearing element ( 5 ) having an opening ( 42 ) and a fastening element ( 34 ) which passes through the opening ( 42 ) and is screwed into the wall ( 32 ), characterized in that the connecting arrangement ( 31 ) has an elastically deformable bearing ring ( 43 ) which is inserted into the opening ( 42 ) and through which the fastening element ( 34 ) passes, and which supports the bearing element ( 5 ) towards the wall ( 32 ). 16. Shower partition according to claim 15, characterized in that the bearing ring ( 43 ) is not closed, in particular has a radial slot. 17. Shower partition according to claim 15 or 16, characterized in that the bearing ring ( 43 ) has an outwardly open annular groove ( 45 ) into which the side wall of the opening ( 42 ) engages.
