Die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Dunstabzugseinrichtung ist im Garbereich angeordnet und gestattet eine Direktabsaugung der Wrasen und Dünste. Sie besteht aus dem Absaugschirm 1, der gegenüber dem Kochfeld 2 in der Höhe und seitlich sowie nach vorn und hinten verstellbar angeordnet ist. Vorteilhafterweise ist der Randbereich des Absaugschirms 1 transparent ausgeführt, um eine gute Sicht zu ermöglichen. Ebenso kann er mit einer Arbeitsplatzbeleuchtung ausgestattet sein. Die Absaugleitung 3 durchdringt die Arbeitsplatte 4 im Bereich 7 zwischen Kochfeld 2 und Wand 8 und wird zu einem Lüfter mit Abluftkanal geführt.
