Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchte mit einem Gehäuse und einer daran abnehmbar angeordneten Abdeckung.The invention relates to a luminaire with a housing and a cover removably arranged thereon.

Die Leuchten sind in vielen Ausfuhrungen bekannt. In dem Gehäuse ist üblicherweise die Fassung für das Leuchtmittel und die Zuleitung angeordnet. Die Abdekkung ist aus einem lichtdurchlässigen Material, beispielsweise aus Glas oder Acryl und ähnlichen Werkstoffen gefertigt. Die in Rede stehende Leuchte wird normalerweise nicht als Decken- oder Wandlampe verwendet, sondern sie wird als Leuchtmittel für Möbel, insbesondere für Küchen- und Badmöbel verwendet. Die bislang bekannten Leuchten sind normalerweise mit Halogenstrahlern ausgerüstet, deren Stromverbrauch jedoch deutlich höher ist als der von Leuchtstoffröhren. Die gestellte Aufgabe wird gelöst, indem das Gehäuse aus einem gepressten Metallprofil, vorzugsweise aus einem Aluminium-Strangpressprofil besteht, dessen Breite ein mehrfaches der Höhe ist. Das Grundbauelement der erfindungsgemäßen Leuchte ist nunmehr das Metallprofil, welches mittels eines geeigneten Werkzeuges in Stangen herstellbar ist. Je nach Größe bzw. Länge der Leuchte können in einer Serienfertigung entsprechende Abschnitte von einer Stange abgelengt werden. Da Leuchtstoffröhren mit Steckkontakten ausgestattet sind, kann die Bauhöhe der Leuchte bzw. die Höhe des Metallprofiles äußerst gering gehalten werden. Angestrebt wird, dass die Höhe des Metallprofiles vorzugsweise mit der Dicke eines Fachbodens eines Möbels übereinstimmt oder annähernd übereinstimmt. Die erfindungsgemäße Leuchte kann sowohl an einem Boden, beispielsweise eines Oberschrankes eines Küchenmöbels oder auch an der Rückwand eines Möbels befestigt werden. Dadurch wird ein besonderer Lichteffekt erzielt. Als Leuchtmittel kommt nicht nur eine stangenformige Leuchtstoffröhre in Frage, sondern auch eine flache mehrfach gewendelte Röhre in Betracht. Da die Leuchte bevorzugt an der Unterseite eines Bodens eines Schrankes oder an der Unterseite eines Fachbodens oder an der sichtbaren Seite einer Rückwand befestigt wird, ist vorgesehen, dass am Gehäuse wenigstens ein Haltearm festgelegt ist. Dieser Haltearm wird in einer bevorzugten Ausführung nicht durch mechanische Verbindungselemente festgelegt, sondern er wird durch eine entsprechende Gestaltung des Metallprofiles eingerastet oder eingeklipst. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform steht die Breite zur Höhe des Metallprofiles in einem Verhältnis von ca. 4 zu 1. In weiterer Ausgestaltung ist vorgesehen, dass im Inneren des Metallprofiles in Längsrichtung verlaufende Nuten und Stege zur Festlegung des Leuchtmittels vorgesehen sind. Es kann dann vollständig oder weitgehend auf mechanische Verbindungselemente verzichtet werden. Das Metallprofil hat zweckmäßigerweise einen u-förmigen Grundquerschnitt deren Enden durch form- und/oder kraftschlüssig festgelegte Endkappen verschlossen sind. Claims

1. Luminaire with a housing and a cover removably arranged thereon, characterized in that the housing consists of a pressed metal profile ( 10 ), preferably of an extruded aluminum profile, the width of which is a multiple of the height.

2. Luminaire according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one holding arm ( 15 ) is pivotably attached, preferably clipped, to the metal profile ( 10 ) for fastening to a vertical or horizontal wall.

3. Luminaire according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the width to height is in a ratio of approximately four to one.

4. Luminaire according to one or more of the preceding claims 1 to 3, characterized in that webs ( 11 ) and grooves ( 12 ) extending in the longitudinal direction are provided in the interior of the metal profile for fixing the lighting means.
