Tube packaging

The innovation relates to a tube packaging according to the generic term of claim 1.

Tube packaging of this type is known in a wide variety of designs, in particular in a design in which the tube body, including the nipple and the section having this nipple, is made in one piece from plastic.

The aim of the innovation is to show a tube packaging that meets all the requirements that have to be placed on a tube packaging and enables a simplification of handling. To solve this problem, a tube packaging is designed in accordance with protection claim 1.

The new tube packaging is particularly suitable for foodstuffs, for example for spreads, and enables the filling material or tube contents to be applied broadly or evenly to a surface or base without the use of additional tools such as knives, etc.

Further developments of the innovation are the subject of the subclaims. The innovation is explained in more detail below using the figures for an exemplary embodiment. They show:

Fig. 1 shows a simplified representation of a partial section through the end of a tube packaging having the tube opening and through a two-part closure there;

Fig. 2 shows the tube packaging of Figure 1 in a representation rotated by 90° about the tube axis TA compared to this figure.

In the figures, 1 generally designates a tube body made of plastic which, after being filled with a filling material, is closed in a known manner at its lower end (not shown in the figures) and at its upper end (in the figures) passes over a truncated cone-shaped narrowing area or over a shoulder 2 into the nipple 4 forming the tube opening 3. The tube opening 3 has a relatively large diameter d compared to the diameter D of the tube body 1. The tube body 1, the shoulder 2 and the nipple 4 with an external thread are made in one piece from plastic.

The tube closure 5, which is two-part in the embodiment shown, is screwed onto the external thread of the nipple 4. This consists of the first closure part 6, which is made as an injection-molded part from plastic and is essentially made up of an annular section 7 and a circular-cylindrical section 8, in such a way that both sections 7 and 8 are arranged on the same axis as one another and also on the same axis as the tube axis TA and the opening of the ring 7 continues into the interior 9 of the cylindrical section 8. The section 8, which protrudes beyond the upper side of the section facing away from the tube body 1, is closed at its upper end, remote from the section 7, by a wall 10, except for a slotted opening 11 formed in this wall, the longitudinal extent of which lies radially to the tube axis TA. As shown in particular in Figure 2, the wall 10 is designed to be roof-sloping on both sides of the opening 11, in such a way that a section 10' is formed on both sides of the opening 11 which slopes downwards, i.e. towards the annular section 7, and these sections 10' diverge towards the tube body 1. The wall 10 is also provided on its outside facing away from the interior 9 with a protruding edge 12 which encloses the opening 11.

The section 8 is provided with a thread on its outer surface, onto which the second closure part 13, designed as a closure cap with an internal thread, can be screwed. The closure part 13, which is also made as a molded part or injection molded part from plastic, essentially consists of a base

and a circular-cylindrical peripheral wall 15, on the inner surface of which the thread is provided for screwing onto the section 8. After screwing the annular section 7 onto the external thread of the nipple 4, a conical ring-shaped underside 7' of the section 7, which encloses the axis TA, rests against the outer surface of the shoulders 2 of the tube body 1, thus limiting the screwing of the closure part 6 onto the nipple 4 and the closure part 6 being held on the shoulder 2 by a clamp fit. In principle, it is possible to secure the screwed-on closure part 6 against unwanted loosening from the tube body 1 by means of catches formed on the section 7 and on the outer surface of the shoulder 2.

The closure part 13 is adapted to the closure part 6 or to its section 8 in such a way that after the closure part 13 is screwed on, the flat inner surface 14' of the base 14 is pressed against the edge 12, thus closing the slot-shaped opening 11. Furthermore, after the closure part 13 is screwed onto the closure part 6, the free edge 15' of its peripheral wall extends into an annular groove 16 which is open on the upper side of the annular section 7 facing away from the tube shoulder 2 and encloses the section 8.

The tube packaging described is particularly intended for use with paste-like foods, for example for spreads, wherein the application takes place via the opening 11 and the sloping roof-like sections 10' of the wall 10 enable a sliding guide along the surface onto which the respective filling material is to be applied and a spreading of the filling material.

Claims (8)

1. Tube packaging with a tube body ( 1 ), with a nipple ( 4 ) provided at one end of the tube body ( 1 ) and forming a tube opening ( 3 ), and with a tube closure ( 5 ) provided on the nipple ( 4 ), characterized in that the tube closure ( 5 ) is designed in at least two parts, namely with a first closure part ( 6 ) held on the nipple ( 4 ), which is designed as a slot nozzle with at least one slot-shaped dispensing opening ( 11 ), and with a second closure part ( 13 ) which can be placed on the first closure part ( 6 ) to close the slot-shaped dispensing opening ( 11 ). 2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the first closure part ( 6 ) is designed like a hood and has at least one slot-shaped dispensing opening ( 11 ) at an end projecting away from the nipple ( 4 ). 3. Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the second closure part ( 13 ) is cap-like and can be placed on a cylindrical section ( 8 ) of the first closure part ( 6 ) and fixed there. 4. Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second closure part ( 13 ) can be screwed onto the first closure part ( 6 ). 5. Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first closure part ( 6 ) can be fastened with a section, for example with an annular section ( 7 ) to the nipple ( 4 ), preferably by screwing. 6. Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a wall section ( 10 ') adjoins at least one side of the slot-shaped opening ( 11 ) in the manner of a sloping roof. 7. Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by an edge ( 12 ) surrounding the slot-shaped opening ( 11 ), against which, when the second closure part ( 13 ) is placed, it rests sealingly with a flat surface, for example with a base surface ( 14 '). 8. Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an annular groove ( 16 ) is provided on the first closure part ( 6 ), into which the second closure part ( 13 ) engages with a free edge ( 15 ') annularly enclosing the first closure part ( 6 ).
