The invention relates to a folder for documents which is designed to be foldable and can be used advantageously in communication between natural persons and authorities, but also between authorities and each other. It is equally suitable as a conference folder and for use as an application folder.

It is already known to put documents in folders, either for the purpose of sending them or presenting them. For example, the utility model DE 298 02 477 U1 describes a cardboard application folder for DlN A4 documents with two clips and a triangular plastic pocket. The closed folder has an inscription on page 1, a triangular pocket on the bottom right on page 3, a clip on the left on pages 4 and 5, and page 6 forms the back. The aim of the utility model is that the applicant makes a good first impression by submitting his documents in a folder as described, which leads to his application being processed at all.

Furthermore, a file cover according to the utility model G 92 01 663.4 is known, which is used in particular for confidential application documents. The advantages are highlighted as the ability to close the file cover with a binding strip and the possibility of sending it in a window envelope by leaving out the address field.

A folder for data sheets, forms, etc. is also known, which is described in the utility model G 94 14 490.7. The folders are to be attached to a holder that can hold several folders of the same type. A spring-loaded clamping strip is to be attached to the folder itself. A transparent film is arranged on the side of the sheet facing away from the clamping gap, forming a pocket that is open towards the long edge.

Another known folder for application documents from the Düsseldorf-based company Business Line is one in which the third of six pages has a clamping rail into which sheets of paper can be inserted and secured. Page four has notches that are intended to clamp additional sheets of paper, apparently preferably A4 size, at the four corners and thus secure them.

The patent specification DE 3428034 C1 presents a folder that opens automatically through the action of a curved rail and is held closed with a zipper.

The utility model G 89 09 998.2 of August 21, 1989 describes a clipboard with two folder covers connected by a fold and a clip that is arranged in the fold and holds some of the sheets in place and allows another part to be moved.

Utility model G 82 23 990.8 proposes a folder that is supposed to look like a book and inside which booklets, sheets of paper and the like are attached with wire rails. The impression of a book spine is created by a predetermined curvature that conceals attached rivets.

The utility model G 85 12 806.6 proposes a folder for unpunched sheets held by a clamping rail. The clamping rail is held in a predetermined position by special stop cams to facilitate the insertion of sheets, preferably A4.

The known solutions have a number of disadvantages.

In the case of the solution according to utility model 298 02 477 U1, the numbering of the pages is unusual. Nevertheless, the designations from the illustration should be used to achieve understanding. In any case, the main disadvantage is that fastening the inserted paper sheets with a clamping rail on the left of the page 5 to be folded inevitably leads to the paper being folded over.

and causes ugly creases in the pages when the folder is closed. The same applies to the triangular pocket on the bottom right.

The utility model G 92 0163.4 has the disadvantage of the different sized sides of the file covers, one of which is 30 mm larger than the other. Closing the file cover with a flap is outdated and extremely impractical. The fastening of paper sheets is not specified; sample clips, binding tapes, staples, clamping rails, patent springs or document rivet eyelets are all listed.

In utility model G 94 14 490.7, the inserted sheet(s) of paper are covered with a transparent film. Whenever the papers are read, the transparent film must be removed from the clamping strip or - if it has not been inserted - put to one side. Such a film has no useful function. If it is made of soft plastic, it will crumple when the folder is closed. If it is made of hard plastic, it cannot be folded over, but must be removed each time the papers are read.

The commercially available solution from Business Line GmbH, Düsseldorf, has the disadvantage that the A4 format papers crumple in the notches and form the well-known dog-ears, which are generally considered a sign of careless handling of documents.

The solution described in PS DE 3428034 C1 has the disadvantage that the inserted sheets of paper, documents and the like are bent, since the folder only has A5 format when closed.

The technical teaching of the utility model G 89 09 998.2 has the disadvantage that documents, sheets of paper and the like are only held between two covers, with all the inconveniences of papers being lost, slipping out and the like. The locking of the documents is not reliable, and there is not enough space for attaching sheets of A4 or smaller.

The utility model G 82 23 990.8 has the disadvantage that the folder is unwieldy and does not fulfil the purpose of holding sheets of paper and documents for taking to conferences, sending in applications and the like. The manufacture by riveting and welding (claims 5 and 6) does not meet today's requirements.

The folder for unpunched sheets according to utility model G 85 12 806.6 has the disadvantage that its inelegant and clunky design defeats the purpose of an application folder. This folder is no longer suitable for sending in standard A4 envelopes because it is oversized due to the clamping rail.

The invention is based on the object of creating a folder for documents, papers, application documents and the like, which allows the permanent and reliable storage, presentation and dispatch of such folders on the basis of a six-page folding folder. The folder for documents should give the impression of elegance and practicality and should therefore be suitable for applications, presentations at trade fairs and exhibitions and the like.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that a six-page folder is proposed which has two triangular pockets made of transparent film on page 2 and a clamping strip along the fold on pages 3 and 4. According to the invention, page 2 is designed in such a way that the paper sheets are secured by two transparent triangular pockets which are attached to the top right and bottom left of page 2. This reliably locks the paper pages and protects them against folding.

Side 1 may bear an inscription which is conveniently produced using the embossed printing process.

The folding is carried out in such a way that a height of 3 to 20 mm is achieved. This means that, depending on the capacity of the clamp rail and the paper thickness, several DIN A4 pages can be easily and safely inserted, presented and sent.

The cardboard thickness varies from 250 to 500 g/m ² .

The advantage of the two transparent pockets as they are attached to page 2 is considerable. The optimal edge length of the transparent pocket is 8 cm. This has been shown by long and complex tests. It is by no means indifferent or obvious to attach the transparent pockets in the arrangement described. Practice shows that attaching the pockets as described and claimed by the invention ensures the best and most gentle handling of important documents, whereas attaching the transparent pockets next to each other does not produce this advantageous effect. This applies to both variants: both pockets at the top or both pockets on the left outside on page 2. Another advantage is the possibility of grasping removable sheets by means of an opening at the bottom middle left, which is only guaranteed by the invention.

According to the invention, transparent pockets of the type described for page 2 are also attached to page 5 of the six-page folder in such a way that they can hold A4 sheets at the top right and bottom left. Compared to previously known solutions, this solution increases the area for documents that the owner creates by writing and making drawings, for example during a conference. Because page 5 is folded inwards when the folder is closed, these documents are protected during transport, and the surface of page 5 does not get dirty or bent.

In applications, the cover sheet of the applicant with his photo and the most important personal data can be placed on page 5 so that it immediately catches the eye without appearing intrusive.

Companies can present their logo and address on this page and thus introduce themselves immediately and sustainably.

After processing the documents on pages 3 and 4, the folder is folded up and the documents on page 5 - be it the photo of the applicant or the company logo or something similar - are presented to the recipient of the folder again so that he or she remembers it for a long time.

Pages 3 and 4 each have clamp rails on the left edge that hold A4 sheets and allow them to be easily replaced.

Page 6 is the back of the folder.

The presented folder is suitable to serve as an application folder in A4 format and to be used at conferences.

The folder can also be produced as a small conference folder in A5 format with the same layout of pages 1 to 6.
