Zusatz zum Patente 172813 vom 15. Dezember 1905.Addendum to patent 172813 of December 15, 1905.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 10. November 1907 ab. Längste Dauer: 6. Dezember 1917.Patented in the German Empire on November 10, 1907. Longest duration: December 6, 1917.
In the case of the grinding wheel according to patent 172813, one of the abrasives is fixed tied body inserts from a detaching at low work pressure Mixture of a grinding and binding agent introduced in such a way that the solid body and the inserts come into effect on the work piece at the same time. Deviating from this According to the present invention, the solid abrasive and the easily peeled one Abrasive material attached to a disk in such a way that it can be used simultaneously as required or one after the other can have an effect on the workpiece. This is how it becomes allows, as with the grinding wheel according to patent 172813, to grind roughly or if necessary the work piece without it having to be clamped from the work table, which is especially true for large work pieces difficult and time-consuming to pre-grind one after the other using the same disc and finely grind or polish.
In the drawing, the new grinding wheel is shown schematically in three exemplary embodiments shown.
The shaft n> (Fig. 1 and 2) carries a disk f, on the edge of which is attached a slip ring or body b which is used for pre-grinding and which consists of an abrasive compound which is easily detached under the working pressure. On the disk / lies an annular plate d, which can be moved in the axial direction by turning on the threaded shaft journal e and can be fixed in any position by pins s. On the edge of the plate d , the likewise ring-shaped grinding body α , which is intended for fine grinding or polishing, is provided made of a strongly hardened grinding agent. This grinding body α is so thin that its surface lies behind that of the slip ring b , as long as the plate d rests on the disk / (Fig. 1). When the plate is displaced, the grinding wheel α initially comes to the same height as the slip ring b, so that in this position both parts act simultaneously on the workpiece, and then step over slip ring b, in which position (Fig. 2) he alone comes into contact with the workpiece.
BeimThe grinding wheel according to FIG. 3 differs from the former essentially in that the adjustment of the plate d, which carries the grinding wheel α used for fine grinding or polishing of the workpiece, is effected by a spindle g resting in the hollow shaft n> , on the lower end of which there is a bushing h which is firmly connected to the plate d by the screw t. At the upper end of the spindle g there is a sleeve v provided with an annular groove u , which can be adjusted by means of the lever m carrying a fork by the handwheel i, which is rotatable on the screw bolt k. At the
As a result, turning the handwheel also moves the plate d in the axial direction.
In the case of the grinding wheel according to FIG. 4, the two grinding bodies α and b, which have different hardnesses or different grain sizes, are not adjustable in relation to one another, but are firmly connected or cemented to one another. The machining of the workpiece η through the slip rings is made possible that the ring exterior is chamfered b and the grinding wheel can / be rotated so that the chamfered surface r of the grinding ring against the workpiece η comes to rest. In order to be able to carry out this rotation, the disk / is suspended so that it can swing on the two shaft journals ο, on one of which the bevel gear ρ that provides the drive is seated. This is in engagement with the bevel gear q arranged on the shaft of the disk /. With the help of the worm wheel / provided on the second shaft journal ο, the disk can be brought into an inclined position.
Of course, the rotation of the grinding wheel could also be made possible in other ways, and the workpiece could also be adjusted accordingly instead. Likewise, the axial displacement of the different hard or grained grinding bodies α, b can be achieved in any convenient manner in the execution of the grinding wheel according to FIGS. 1 to 3.
