Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
In the German patent specification 851 298 a method is described, according to which one for the silage at the citric acid fermentation after precipitation of the CaI-ciumcitrates used waste liquor obtained.
Furthermore, a method for acidifying green fodder is described in German patent specification 922 804, which is characterized in that citric acid fermentation liquor for itself is used as the ensiling agent or preferably in a mixture with the mother liquor obtained after the precipitation of the calcium citrate and / or the mother liquor remaining after the citric acid has crystallized out is used. When ensiling according to these two methods, it has been shown that faulty silages often occur, because the lye used contains spore-forming agents that have an adverse effect on the silage management can. These are in particular butyric acid bacteria, with those fed with such silages Cows give milk that cannot be used in hard cheese dairy.
It is also known that by inoculating the forage masses to be ensiled with strains of Streptococcus lactis, which produce the "nisin" effective against butyric acid bacilli, while increasing the sugar concentration by adding appropriate amounts of whey and molasses, with careful observance of the conditions of the also to obtain cold maceration of relatively low carbohydrate food materials silage with a very low content of butyric acid, wherein p H values are (cf. reached below 4.0. dairy Research reports, 6, pp 197-219 [1956]. As is apparent from this reference So there has been no lack of proposals to control the silage through the action of nisin in such a way that incorrect fermentation is eliminated.
British patent 683 423 describes a process for the preparation of antibiotic substances by Streptococcus lactis. From the description and the example given it appears that a carbohydrate-containing, aqueous medium is used for the stated purpose, preferably a Glucose yeast extract medium, which is obtained by dissolving 1% glucose, 0.6% commercial yeast extract and various Salt is prepared. After fermentation of this medium, the nisin formed is extracted through extraction won and purified.
According to a proposal that has not been published in advance, beverages such as for example, processes from citric acid fermentation or glutamic acid recovery, used with the appropriate microorganisms are fermented. The products obtained are particularly suitable as Complementary feed.

According to Danish patent specification 57 476, the green fodder itself is mixed with a culture of lactic acid bacteria and a culture of yeast sludge added, whereby for the culture of the microorganisms skimmed milk, Rye flour, wheat bran, molasses, malt. £> def Malt germs are used. In this ensiling process, neither fermentation liquors nor fungal mycelia are found still nisin-forming micro-organismeruzjir production of the silage feed use.
It has now been found, surprisingly, that the in a known manner on the biological fermentation process falling waste liquor or stillage with the help of nisin-forming streptococci at the same time Addition of mushroom masses, nisin and similar inhibitors of polypeptide character, such as lactobacillin, Diplococcin, containing fermentation products, possibly after gentle thickening, immediately as Silage additive, d. Furthermore, it is possible to mix the thus obtained fermentation products with acidic Gärungsrohlauge or other organic or inorganic acids so that a cheap starting pH value can be adjusted in silage.
Other biological substrates can also be added to the finished ensiling agent. A particularly advantageous embodiment is that on which the polypeptide, such as. B. nisin, containing approach from fermentation liquor and mushroom mass then breeds other suitable microorganisms for the silage, z. B. propionic acid bacteria. Products of this kind treated with propionic bacteria are particularly valuable as additives for silage additives, as they also contain vitamin B 12 and other active ingredients in addition to free acid.
25 kg of the crushed mushroom cover (Aspergillus niger) originating from citric acid production, 4001 of the waste liquor obtained after precipitation of the calcium citrate, 1001 of whey, 0.5 kg of diammonium phosphate and 1 kg of calcium carbonate are sterilized by boiling and with 25 1 of a culture of a nisin-forming strain of Streptococcus lactis inoculates. Thereupon, the medium is maintained at 30 0 C without aeration in a fermentor with slow stirring (eg., About 75 rev./min.). Lactic acid fermentation is over after 12 to 16 hours. The fermentation solution contains 1000 to 2000 units of nisin per millimeter. After evaporation to about 10% of the initial volume, an ensiling agent is obtained which is distinguished by its lactic acid and lactic acid bacteria content, which has the particular advantage of suppressing the feared development of butyric acid bacteria in silage due to its nisin content. About 1 to 2 kg of this concentrate are required for 100 kg of alfalfa.
Instead of whey, other suitable sources of carbohydrates or protein, such as soy flour or skimmed, can be used Fresh milk.
