Description

  • Riemenverbindung an einem Zahnriemen aus Kunststoff Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Riemenverbindung an einem Zahnriemen aus Kunststoff, wobei die Riemenenden an zur Längsmittellinie des gestreckten Riemens senkrecht stehenden Flächen an einer Stelle zusammengeklebt oder zusammengeschweißt sind, an der die beiden Enden des Kunststoffbandes Zahnteile aufweisen, die sich zu einem vollen Riemenzahn ergänzen.
  • Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, Riemenverbindungen der soeben genannten Art insoweit zu verbessern, daß bei Erhöhung der Zugfestigkeit an der Riemenverbindung eine einfache Möglichkeit des Verschweißungsvorganges erreicht ist.
  • Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist vorgesehen, daß an der Verbindungsstelle eine Drahtspirale ständig in das Kunststoffmaterial eingebettet ist.
  • Da die Kunststoffbandenden an den zu verbindenden Flächen eine verhältnismäßig große Höhe haben, ist die vorteilhafte Möglichkeit der Herstellung einer Schweißverbindung der beiden Kunststoffbandenden durch eine in das Kunststoffmaterial eingeschweißte Drahtspirale gegeben. Zu diesem Zweck wird die Drahtspirale so weit erhitzt, daß sie unter Plastifizierung der von beiden Seiten her gegen die erhitzte Drahtspirale angedrückten Kunststoffbandenden in diese einschmilzt und zugleich die plastifizierten Kunststoffenden verschweißt werden. Nach dem Wiedererhärten des Kunststoffmaterials liegt die Spirale im Kunststoff völlig eingebettet und erfüllt zusätzlich zu der durch das Zusammenschweißen der Kunststoffbandenden hergestellten Verbindung die Funktion eines Riemenverbinders.
  • Durch die Erfindung wird ein technischer Fortschritt durch die erfolgreiche Lösung der in Frage stehenden Aufgabe erreicht.
  • In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung dargestellt.
  • Die Drahtspirale 12 wird durch Hindurchleiten von elektrischem Strom auf eine oberhalb des Schmelzpunktes des Kunststoffmaterials liegende Temperatur erhitzt. Die beiden zusammenzuschließenden Bandenden 1 werden mit ihren glattwandigen Stirnseiten von beiden Seiten her gegen die erhitzte Drahtspirale 12 angepreßt. Bei diesem Vorgang schmilzt die Drahtspirale 12 in die plastifizierten Stirnseiten der beiden Bandenden 1 ein, und die beiden plastifizierten Stirnseiten werden durch Verschweißen zusammengeschlossen. Nach dem Wiedererhärten des Kunststoffmaterials liegt die Drahtspirale 12 ganz in Kunststoffmaterial eingebettet.
  • Sie erhöht die Festigkeit der an sich schon durch die Schweißverbindung der beiden Bandenden herbeigeführten Verbindung ganz beträchtlich. Die Drahtspirale 12, deren Windungsdurchmesser etwas kleiner sein muß als die Höhe der Verbindungsfläche, wird so angeordnet, daß sie mit ihrem oberen Scheitel an oder dicht an der Oberfläche des Kunststoffbandes liegt, jedoch nicht über die Oberfläche des Kunststoffbandes hervortritt.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch: Riemenverbindung an einem Zahnriemen aus Kunststoff, wobei die Riemenenden an zur Längsmittellinie des gestreckten Riemens senkrecht stehenden Flächen an einer Stelle zusammengeklebt oder zusammengeschweißt sind, an der die beiden Enden des Kunststoffbandes Zahnteile aufweisen, die sich zu einem vollen Riemenzahn ergänzen, dadurch g e k e n n -zeichnet, daß an der Verbindungsstelle eine Drahtspirale (12) ständig in das Kunststoffmaterial eingebettet ist.
