Abstract

The unit (1) is assembled of an outer ring (2), an inner ring (3), a friction ring (4) positioned between them, and several separately produced locking elements (5, 6, 7) joining the inner (3) and the outer ring (2) when the clutch is engaged. The outer (2) and the inner ring (3) are provided with recesses (5', 6', 7', 13, 14, 15) matching the shape of the locking elements (5, 6, 7) which can be of a rectangular or trapezoidal shape. The outer (2) and the inner ring (3) can be forged, the elements (5, 6, 7) punched or made of a sinter material.
