Im Bereich des Umbugs ist das Material des Bezugs im wesentlichen um annähernd 180° gebogen, so daß sich eine Faltungskante ausbildet, die einen ersten Abschnitt des Verdeckstoffs von einem zweiten Abschnitt des Verdeckstoffs abgrenzt, wobei der erste Abschnitt im wesentlichen auf dem zweiten Abschnitt zu liegen kommt und an diesem durch eine Klebelage befestigt ist. Die Heckscheibe wird dann auf dem ersten, nach außen weisenden Abschnitt befestigt. Im Bereich der Faltungskante beschreibt der umgebogenen Verdeckstoff einen Krümmungskreis mit geringem Radius; dabei beschreibt der außenliegende erste Abschnitt einen etwas größeren Krümmungsradius als der innenliegende zweite Abschnitt.
