Material einen bestimmten gleichbleibenden Feuchtigkeitsgehalt hat, also weder zu steif noch zu weich ist. Bis jetzt pflegt man am Preßkopf der Strangpressen eine Vorrichtung anzubringen, die es erkennbar macht, wenn der Feuchtigkeitsgehalt des Tonmaterials zu klein ist. Die Abstellung dieses Mißstandes hat nun am Kollergang zu erfolgen; hier ist die Menge des Anmachewassers zu vergrößern oder zu verkleinern.
