Claims (22)
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines hydrophilen Überzuges
auf einem Substrat, vorzugsweise einem biologisch-medizinischen Substrat, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man unumgesetzte Isocyanatgruppen auf der
jr Oberfläche des Substrates bildet und die Oberfläche
des Substrates mit einem hydrophilen Copolymer behandelt, das kovalente Bindungen mit dem unumgesetzten
Isocyanat bilden kann.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man einen Überzug aus einer Lösungsmittellösung eines Polyisocyanates auf der Oberfläche des Substrates
unter Bildung eines Kopplungsüberzuges mit unumgesetzten Isocyanaten aufbringt, eine Lösungsmittel-
2g lösung eines hydrophilen Copolymers, das mit Isocyanat
unter Bildung einer kovalenten Bindung zwischen diesem Kupplungsüberzug und hydrophilem Copolymer
reagiert, aufbringt, das Lösungsmittel verdampft und die Isocyanate umsetzt.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man gleichzeitig Lösungsmittellösung, die PoIyisocyanat
und hydrophiles Copolymer, welches bei der Umsetzung mit Isocyanaten kovalente Bindungen bildet,
aufbringt, das Lösungsmittel eliminiert und das PoIyisocyanat
und reaktive Copolymer umsetzt.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Lösungsmittellösung ein reaktives Verdünnungsmittel enthält, das im wesentlichen in situ
polymerisiert.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichent, daß das Verdünnungsmittel in der Lösung bis zu etwa
100% ausmacht.
6· Verfahren nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das reaktive Verdünnungsmittel ein UV-gehärtetes
vinylhaltiges Monomer, Dimer oder Trimer, vorzugsweise aus der Gruppe Hydroxymethyl-methacrylat,
Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure und Acrylamid, ist.

7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Substrat ein Polymersubstrat aus der Gruppe Polyurethanharz, Vinylharz, Polyacrylat,
Polycarbonat, Polyester und Kautschuk, wie Latexkautschuk,
Polyisopren und Butadien-Styrol-Copolymer ist.
8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Lösungsmittel ausgewählt wird, das nicht
mit Isocyanaten reagiert.
9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4 oder 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Substrat aus der Gruppe Vinyl- oder Butadien-Styrol-Kautschuk, Polyethylen und PoIypropylen
ausgewählt ist.
10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das Substrat mit chemischen Modifiziermitteln
aus der Gruppe der gamma-Aminopropyl-funktionellen Silane und Ozon oder mit einer Plasmaentladung
oder mit hoher Strahlungsenergie behandelt.
11. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Polyisocyanat aus der Gruppe Polmethylenpolyphenylisocyanat,
4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat und Stellungsisomeren hiervon, •2,4-Toluoldiisocyanat
und Stellungsisomeren hiervon, 3, 4-Dichlorphenyldiisocyanat
und Isoferronisocyanat ausgewählt wird.
12. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Polyisocyanat ein geblocktes Isocyanat, vorzugsweise
ein solches aus der Gruppe von phenolgeblocktem Diphenylmethan-4,4'-diisocyanat und ketoximgeblocktem
Tetraisocyanat ist.
13. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 2, 11 oder 12,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Poyisocyanat aus einer
Lösungsmittellösung aufgebracht wird, die wenigstens etwa 0,1 Gewichts/Volumenprozent, vorzugsweise
etwa 0,3 bis etwa 15 Gewichts/Volumenprozent enthält.
14. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Polyisocyanatlösung mit dem Substrat weniger
als etwa 120 Minuten, wie 5 bis 20 Minuten, beispielsweise etwa 10 Minuten, in Berührung gehalten
wird.
15. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Copolymer ein mittleres Molekulargewicht von
wenigstens 100.000 hat.
16. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Copolymer im Mittel wenigstens zwei aktive Wasserstoffatomstellen im Molekül hat.
17. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Copolymer in einem wäßrigen Medium quellbar und vorzugsweise auch in nicht-wäßrigen Lösungsmitteln,
die nicht mit Isocyanat reagieren, löslich ist.

18. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Copolymer hauptsächlich aus sich wiederholenden
Einheiten besteht, die keine reaktiven Wasserstoff atome enthalten.

19. Verfahren nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die monomeren des Copolymers aus der Gruppe -Vinylmethyläther,
Vinylpyridin, N-Vinyl-2-pyrrolidon, Acrylamid, Hydroxyethylacrylat, Acrylsäure, Hydroxypropylmethacrylat
und Hydroxythylmethacrylat ausgewählt
sind.
20. Biologisch-medizinisches Produkt mit einem hydrophilen Überzug, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es ein Substrat,
einen hydrophilen Copolymerüberzug und einen zurückhaltenden
Überzug zur Beibehaltung des hydrophilen Überzuges auf dem Substrat durch eine kovalente Bindung
umfaßt, wobei das Copolymer im Mittel wenigstens 2 oder mehr Stellen besitzt, die in der Lage sind, an
einen Polyisocyanatkopplungsüberzug kovalent gebunden zu werden.
21. Produkt nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Substrat ein Polymersubstrat aus der Gruppe
eines Polyurethanharzes, eines Vinylharzes, eines Polyacrylate, eines Polycabonats, eines Polyesters
oder Kautschuks, wie Latexkautschuk, Polyisopren oder Styrol-Butadien, ist.
22. Produkt nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Substrat ein medizinisches Instrument umfaßt, das für den Kontakt mit Blut oder subkutanem
Gewebe geeignet ist, wie beispielsweise eine intravenöse Kanüle, eine Wundendrainage oder ein chirurgisches
Werkzeug, wie ein chirurgisches rostfreies Stahlwerkzeug.
