电连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型有关一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种设有金属壳体的电连接器。
【背景技术】
应用于SFP(Small Form Factor Pluggable)的低外形连接器开始应用于对体积小型化要求较高的电子设备,如此,就使得将相对的对接插头连接器导引进这样的连接器变的比较困难。插头连接器包括具有凸边的电路板,该凸边与板端开口一起收容于SFP连接器。用于该种连接器的遮蔽壳用以控制电磁干扰的辐射。这些遮蔽壳通常充当连接器的第二本体以将连接器充分包覆。这使得小尺寸SFP连接器使得确保其与相对的对接连接器对接变得更为不易,特别是在盲接情况下。
例如,美国专利公开第20060040556A1号揭露了一种SFP型连接器,该连接器被金属壳体包覆。金属壳体具有开口,该开口设有允许相对的对接连接器插入的入口。该入口包括一个或多个延伸进本体中央且为相对的对接连接器与电路板连接器相对接提供导引作用的导引件。然而,相对的对接连接器同样需要对应的键槽与金属壳体的导引件对接。因为导引件可能设置于金属壳体的不同位置,故键槽也应对应设置于相对的对接连接器的不同位置。然,前述SFP型连接器与相对的对接连接器制造过程较复杂,其制造成本均相对较高;另,使用者选择和使用该种SFP型连接器和对接连接器会有很大不便。而此两点很受制造商及客户关切。
因此,有必要设计一种带有金属壳体的改良型电连接器,以弥补先前技术中的上述缺陷。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种电连接器,其具有改良的金属壳体,该金属壳体可实现电连接器与对接连接器容易且方便地对接。
本实用新型的目的是通过以下技术方案实现的:一种电连接器,其包括设有收容通道的绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体且与前述收容通道相连通的若干端子及包覆所述绝缘本体的金属壳体,所述金属壳体设有与所述收容通道相间隔的前对接端口,所述金属壳体设有至少一个导引件,该导引件设于所述收容通道的前部,且处于所述前对接端口的内部,该导引件包括相互连接可形成导引通道的竖着的导引部及躺着的支撑部,且所述导引部及支撑部中至少一个向前向下呈锥形延伸。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型电连接器具有如下有益效果:其通过改良的金属壳体结构可方便的将对接连接器装配于电连接器上。

【具体实施方式】
如图1、图2及图4所示,本实用新型的第一实施例电连接器100用以连接电路基板5与对接连接器(未图示)。对接连接器具有对接部,该对接部上设有收容印刷电路板的空间,所述印刷电路板上布置有若干导电路径。电连接器100包括绝缘本体1、沿竖直方向分别排列两排且收容于绝缘本体1的若干端子2及装配于绝缘本体1的金属壳体3。
绝缘本体1包括顶壁11、底壁12、后壁14,与前述顶壁11、底壁12和后壁14互相连接的一对侧壁13。顶壁11、底壁12、后壁14及一对侧壁13相互配合围成有一收容通道15。收容通道15具有与其相连通的放大的前端开口151。每个侧壁13的中部部分被切割形成有自侧壁13的底壁向上凹进的开口通道17。每个侧壁13设有自其底部表面邻近前端开口151处向下延伸的定位柱16。后壁14被部分切割形成台阶141,若干凸块142沿横向排列成一排,且相邻的一对凸块142之间留有间隙。
端子2包括若干沿竖直方向分别排列于不同两排的悬臂型第一组端子21及第二组端子22。所述第一组端子21或第二组端子22均沿横向延伸。每个悬臂型第一组端子21包括接触部211、后端部212及连接接触部211及后端部212的主体部213。每个悬臂型第二组端子22包括接触部221、后端部222、固持部224及连接接触部221和后端部222的主体部223,所述固持部224系自主体部223向上延伸而形成。
金属壳体3包括上壁31、下壁32、后壁37及一对横壁33。上壁31、下壁32及后壁37相互连接于横壁33且形成有空腔34。一环形脊部36将金属壳体3分为前对接端口341及后端部342。下壁32的后部被切割形成窗口38。两个导引件35(如图3所示)分别设置于一对横壁3 3的内表面。导引件35形成有L型导引通道350,所述导引通道350包括躺着的支撑部351及自支撑部351的一侧边向上延伸而形成的竖着的导引部352。支撑部351为一板体,其具有平坦的上表面3511及于板体前部上表面形成的第一斜坡3512,故,支撑部351形成有相对较薄的前边沿3513。上表面3511与上壁31的内表面之间的距离等于对接连接器的对接部的高度。导引部352同样也为一板体,其具有平坦的左表面3521及将板体前部及左部切割而形成的第二斜坡3522,是故,导引部352的前边3523为锥形,且所述前边沿3513较前边3523厚些。导引件35分别形成于横壁33的中间位置靠下处,导引部352的锥形前边3523朝向前对接端口341,所述导引件35的前端张开较大,后端张开较小。一对配合柱331分别形成于前述横壁33的外表面。每个配合柱331设有允许螺丝6插入的螺孔332。一对竖梁333分别形成于所述横壁33的内表面且每个竖梁333与靠近后壁37的对应配合柱331相邻近。每个竖梁333的顶部被切割形成有斜面334。一对锁孔311设于上壁31的前部且用以与对接连接器(未图示)的锁扣部相锁扣。垫圈4装配于金属壳体3且与环形脊部36相抵靠用以防止电磁干扰。
电路基板5设有若干排列于不同两列的第一组导电路径51及第二组导电路径52。两对螺孔53及一对定位孔54分别间隔设置于电路基板5。电路基板5的前部还设有定位切口55,电路基板5于所述定位切口55的两侧还设有用于将电路基板5与其它装置相固定的孔径较大的定位孔(未标号)。
如图4至图6所示并结合图1与图2,装配时,首先,第一组端子21沿前后方向装配于绝缘本体1,其接触部211暴露于收容通道15,主体部213收容于绝缘本体1的顶壁11,后端部212的末端分别夹持于两相邻凸块142之间。同样,第二组端子22沿垂直于前后方向的竖直方向装配于绝缘本体1,其接触部221暴露于收容通道15并且与第一组端子21的接触部211相对,其固持部224固持于绝缘本体1的底壁12,其后端部222位于底壁12的外部。其次,绝缘本体1装配于电路基板5,其定位柱16插入电路基板5的定位孔54,后端部212、222的末端分别装配于第一、二组导电路径51、52。然后,第一、二组端子21、22藉表面黏装技术(SMT)焊接于第一、二组导电路径51、52。绝缘本体1的开口通道17于焊接过程中便于空气流通以提高焊接质量。接着,金属壳体3装配于电路基板5,绝缘本体1通过金属壳体3的窗口38插入空腔34。一对竖梁333与导引件35的一对支撑部351分别夹持绝缘本体1的侧壁1 3的后部和前部以将绝缘本体1定位,环形脊部36的底部紧靠设于电路基板5的定位切口55,配合柱331的螺孔332与电路基板5的螺孔53相对齐。最后,金属壳体3与电路基板5藉螺丝6装配在一起。
当对接连接器(未图示)与电连接器100相对接时,对接连接器的对接部首先插入金属壳体3的前对接端口341并进入空腔34;然后对接连接器的对接部到达导引件35的正前方,通过导引部352的第二斜坡3522的导引与支撑部351的支撑,对接连接器的对接部进入导引通道350;然后对接连接器由于被施加一推力而沿着支撑部351的第一斜坡3512滑动,直至对接连接器的对接部滑动到支撑部351的平坦的上表面3511;最后,对接连接器的对接部沿着平坦的上表面3511向前运动并进入电连接器100的收容通道15,至此,对接连接器与电连接器100实现容易且准确的对接。
如图7所示,为本实用新型第二实施例的电连接器100’的立体组装图。与本实用新型第一实施例电连接器100相比,电连接器100’除金属壳体3’的导引件35’与之不同外,其它结构相同。导引件35’与第一实施例中的导引件35结构相似,仅导引件35’的支撑部351’的上表面3511’系平坦型而无如电连接器100的导引件35上形成的第一斜坡3512。就对接过程而言,电连接器100’和对接连接器的对接过程与电连接器100和对接连接器的对接过程相似,仅有一点不同,即当对接连接器与电连接器100’对接时,对接连接器的对接部并非先沿如第一实施例中的第一斜坡滑动,而是直接沿平坦的上表面3511’滑动,这样,也可实现对接连接器与电连接器100’之间准确对接。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其包括设有收容通道的绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体且与前述收容通道相连通的若干端子及包覆所述绝缘本体的金属壳体,所述金属壳体设有与所述收容通道相间隔的前对接端口,其特征在于:所述金属壳体设有至少一个导引件,该导引件设于所述收容通道的前部,且处于所述前对接端口的内部,该导引件包括相互连接可形成导引通道的竖着的导引部及躺着的支撑部,且所述导引部及支撑部中至少一个向前向下呈锥形延伸。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导引部为一板体,其包括平坦的表面及将板体前部及左部切割而形成的斜坡。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述支撑部为一板体,其具有平坦的上表面及形成于该平坦上表面前端的斜坡。
4.如权利要求2或3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导引部或所述支撑部的斜坡前边沿中至少一个较厚。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导引部与所述支撑部相互配合形成L形导引通道,该导引通道前端张开较大,后端张开较小。
6.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述金属壳体包括上壁、下壁及与所述上壁、下壁配合形成有空腔的一对横壁。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述空腔设置于所述前对接端口,所述导引部形成于所述横壁的内表面,且所述支撑部延伸进前述空腔。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述下壁的后端部分切割形成有窗口,所述绝缘本体通过所述窗口进入空腔。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述每个横壁内表面形成有至少一个竖梁,所述竖梁夹持于所述绝缘本体的两边。
10.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器还包括设有定位切口的电路基板,所述金属壳体设有与该定位切口相抵靠的环形脊部。
