Abstract
The present invention discloses the use of a hydrocarbon and/or an isomer thereof as a pest control composition, wherein the hydrocarbon is an alkane having 10 to 16 carbon atoms. Since the hydrocarbon and/or its isomer has insecticidal activity, the effect of poisoning the pest can be effectively achieved by applying or introducing an effective amount of the hydrocarbon and its isomer according to the present invention into a space such that the hydrocarbon and its isomer are brought into contact with the pest indirectly or directly.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a second use of hydrocarbon, and more particularly, to a use of hydrocarbon and its isomer as pest control composition and method for controlling pests.
Background
The current approved pest control composition contains phosphine, methyl bromide, sulfuryl fluoride and the like, and has obvious pest control effect, but has toxicity to people and animals or damage to the environment, for example, the methyl bromide has good pest control capability, but has damage to an ozone layer, the prior art has been clearly regulated by Meng Telou protocols to only be used for customs quarantine, and the use amount is reduced year by year, the phosphine is a substitute of the methyl bromide, has excellent pest control toxicity, but has extremely high toxicity to people and animals, the sulfuryl fluoride has the control effect to termites or other pests in buildings, but research indicates that the capability of causing greenhouse effect is about 4800 times of carbon dioxide, and the possibility of accelerating global warming is realized.
The existing pest control composition is harmful to the environment for a long time or/and human and animal health, but the demand for pest control is continuously present, so that a novel pest control composition with high safety to human and animal and environmental friendliness is urgently needed in the global deinsectization market.
Disclosure of Invention
The main object of the present invention is to provide a use of hydrocarbons and isomers thereof as pest control compositions, which can replace the existing conventionally known pesticides or environmental medications due to the non-toxic, safe and environmentally friendly nature of active ingredients composed of hydrocarbons and/or isomers thereof.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling pests, which can be widely used in various environmental or agricultural medicines because hydrocarbons and/or isomers thereof can poison pests by directly or indirectly contacting the pests.
Accordingly, in order to achieve the above object, the present invention discloses a use of a hydrocarbon and/or an isomer thereof as a pest control composition, wherein the hydrocarbon is an alkane and has a carbon number of a positive integer of 10 or more and 16 or less. In particular, since the vapors of the disclosed hydrocarbons and/or isomers thereof have activity in poisoning various pests, the disclosed hydrocarbons and/or isomers thereof can be used as a main active ingredient in pest control compositions for poisoning pests.
The composition for controlling pests disclosed by the invention can poison a plurality of pests including rice weevil, tetranychus urticae, tobacco beetles, german cockroaches, longfoot soldiers, invasion solenopsis invicta and mosquito larvae (wiggles), so that the composition can be applied to crop pest control, environmental pest control and the like.
In one embodiment of the invention, the hydrocarbon has an even number of carbon atoms, such as n-decane (n-decane), n-dodecane (n-dodecane), n-tetradecane (n-tetradecane) and n-hexadecane (n-hexadecane), and the isomers of the hydrocarbon corresponding to the above compounds may be isododecane (isodecane), isododecane (isododecane), isotetradecane (Isotetradecane) and isohexadecane (isohexadecane).
Wherein, the isododecane is an isomer of n-decane and has different structural formulas according to different functional group positions, such as 2-methyl nonadecane.
Wherein the isododecane is an isomer of n-dodecane, and has different structural formulas according to different functional group positions, such as 2,4, 6-pentamethylheptane and 2-methylundecane.
Wherein, the isotetradecane is an isomer of n-tetradecane and has different structural formulas according to different functional group positions, such as 2-methyltridecane.
Wherein, isohexadecane is an isomer of n-hexadecane and has different structural formulas according to different functional group positions, such as 2,4, 6, 8-heptamethyl nonane.
In the embodiment of the invention, the formulation of the pest control composition is a fumigant, a spray or a solution, wherein when the pest control composition is a formulation of a fumigant, the pest control composition is used for fumigation in a space with a volume of one liter by using not less than 5mg of hydrocarbon and/or isomer thereof, wherein the hydrocarbon and/or isomer thereof has better poisoning effect in a dosage of more than 30 mg.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a method of controlling pests is disclosed, which comprises providing an effective amount of a pest control composition or a vapor thereof into a space, wherein the active ingredient in the pest control composition is an effective amount of the above-mentioned hydrocarbon and/or isomer thereof, and the effective amount of the hydrocarbon and/or isomer thereof is at least 2.5mg, preferably 5mg or more, in a space of a liter volume.
The invention has the beneficial effects that:
The hydrocarbon and its isomer as pest controlling composition and pest controlling method have no toxicity, safety and environment friendship, and may be used in killing pest via direct or indirect contact with pest to replace available pesticide or environment pesticide.
Detailed Description
The present invention discloses the use of a hydrocarbon and/or an isomer thereof as a pest control composition, wherein the hydrocarbon is an alkane having 10 to 16 carbon atoms, is not toxic to humans and animals and the environment, has a pest poisoning activity, and can be used as an active ingredient of the pest control composition, in other words, the pest control composition comprising an effective amount of the disclosed hydrocarbon and an isomer thereof or any of the above compounds is applied to a space, an object in the space, or a pest existing in the space, so that the effect of poisoning the pest in the space can be effectively achieved.
The space can be an open field or a closed field, wherein the effect of poisoning pests is better when the space is the closed field.
In embodiments of the invention, the hydrocarbon or isomer thereof is volatile and the pest may be rendered motile or dead by direct or indirect contact with the pest or body thereof. For example, the hydrocarbon or its isomer disclosed in the present invention has activity of poisoning at least one pest in the form of vapor, so that the pest can be inhaled by placing the hydrocarbon or its isomer in a space to volatilize the hydrocarbon or its isomer into the space, thereby achieving the effect of poisoning and killing the pest.
In embodiments of the invention, the hydrocarbon is n-decane (n-decane), n-dodecane (n-dodecane), n-tetradecane (n-tetradecane) or n-hexadecane (n-hexadecane).
In an embodiment of the invention, the isomer of the hydrocarbon is isoparaffin (isoparaffin), such as isododecane (isodecane), isododecane (isododecane), isotetradecane (Isotetradecane).
The pest control composition disclosed by the invention can be prepared into different dosage forms such as fumigating agents, spraying agents, liquid dosage forms, solid volatilizable dosage forms and the like according to the factors of use requirements, use fields, use objects and the like, and the effective amount of the hydrocarbon or the isomer thereof in the pest control composition can be changed according to the dosage forms, but still does not deviate from the scope of the protection of the present claims due to the change of the effective amount such as dosage or concentration. In addition, the pest control composition further comprises an agriculturally acceptable component, such as a spreader, a solvent, etc., in order to be prepared into various dosage forms.
For example, when the pest control composition is a fumigant, the effective amount of the hydrocarbon and its isomers means that not less than 5mg of the hydrocarbon and its isomers, such as 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, 20mg, 30mg, are placed in a liter space.
Also when the pest control composition is a spray or a liquid, the effective amount of the hydrocarbon and isomers thereof is at least 2.5mg in a volume-of-one liter space.
The term "alkane", also known as alkane, is composed of a bulk structure consisting essentially of carbon and hydrogen, and bonds between carbon-carbon and carbon-hydrogen by only a single bond.
The term n-decane is also called n-decane and decane, and has a molecular formula of C 10H22, and a structural formula shown in the following formula (I). N-decane is a nonpolar molecule, which is one of the components of gasoline.
The term n-dodecane, also called dodecane, has a molecular formula of C 12H26 and a structural formula of formula (II) below. N-dodecane is a viscous, colorless and odorless oily liquid.
The term "n-tetradecane", also known as tetradecane, has a molecular formula of C 14H30 and a structural formula of formula (III) below. N-tetradecane is a water-insoluble nonpolar molecule that is found in petroleum.
The term "n-hexadecane", also known as hexadecane, has the formula C 16H34 and the structural formula (IV) shown below. N-hexadecane is a white solid or colorless liquid, and is soluble in diethyl ether or petroleum ether, but insoluble in water.
The term "isomer (Isomer)", refers to molecules of the same molecular formula but of different structural formulae and having the same functional groups as each other, so that the isomers of different structures have similar or identical properties.
The term "isododecane" is an isomer of n-decane. The 2-methyl-nonaalkane (2-methylnonane) represented by the following formula (V) is one of isodecanes.
The term "isododecane" is an isomer of n-dodecane. For example, 2,4, 6-pentamethylheptane (2, 4, 6-PENTAMETHYLHEPTANE) represented by the following formula (VI) and 2-methylundecane (2-methylundecan) represented by the following formula (VII) and 3-methylundecane (3-methylundecane) represented by the following formula (VIII) belong to isododecane, respectively.
The term "isotetradecane" is an isomer of n-tetradecane. For example, 2-methyltridecane (2-METHYLTRIDECANE) represented by the following formula (IX) is an isotetradecane.
The term "isohexadecane" is an isomer of n-hexadecane. For example, the processing steps may be performed, 2,4, 6, 8-heptamethyl group represented by the following formula (X) nonane (2, 4,6, 8-heptamethylnonane) belongs to the isohexadecane group.
The term "pest" refers to organisms that can adversely affect humans and human activities, such as damage to crops, animals, or trees, or can transmit diseases that can be harmful to human health. The insect pest includes insect or non-insect, such as Mixiang, tetranychus urticae, tobacco beetle, german cockroach, and Formica Fusca invading solenopsis invicta, mosquito larva (wiggler).
The term "space" is used to apply the hydrocarbon and its isomers of the present invention and may be formed by natural environment, such as ant nest, artificial construction, such as closed space or closed greenhouse, without clear separation lines, for specific use, such as playground, farm, etc.
The term "fumigant" refers to a composition for poisoning pests by using vapor or gas generated by volatilization of an active ingredient contained therein, and the dosage of the composition varies according to the poisoning ability of the active ingredient, the type of pest, the size of fumigation site, and the like. For the purposes of the present invention, the main active ingredient in the fumigant is at least one compound of the hydrocarbons and isomers thereof disclosed herein.
The term "aerosol" refers to a dosage form that converts a liquid into a mist by high pressure or compressed air. When the pest control composition of the present invention is a spray, the hydrocarbon and its isomers can actively or passively contact the pest bodies in the form of a mist, wherein "active" means that the mist is sprayed directly onto the pest bodies, and "passive" means that the mist is sprayed onto any one side of the space or an object therein, and the pest stays or climbs there to contact the mist.
The term "spreading agent", also known as surfactant, is a chemical having both hydrophilicity and lipophilicity that can be used to aid in the emulsification, dispersion, fixation, spreading of the active ingredients in the pest control compositions of the present invention.
The term "agricultural spreader" refers to an agriculturally acceptable spreader.
The term "agriculturally acceptable component" refers to a component, such as a surfactant, an organic solvent, etc., which meets any of the specifications or common general knowledge at home and abroad and can be used for agricultural or environmental use.
The term "effective amount" refers to a dose or concentration effective to poison a pest in a space, and the effective amount will vary with the dosage form, the area of use, the subject to be applied, and the like.
The compounds used in the examples below are all commercially available.
Example one insecticidal test (one)
Rice weevil (Sitophilus oryzae), spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), beetle (Lasioderma serricorne), german cockroach (Blattella germanica), longfoot termite (Anoplolepis longipes) and invasive solenopsis invicta (Solenopsis invicta) were respectively taken as test objects, placed in a 1L container, and then carriers containing isododecane (2, 4, 6-pentamethylheptane) at different concentrations (2.5, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 mg) were respectively placed in the 1L container, and then the container was steamed for 24 hours with a cover, and after aeration, the death number of the insects was confirmed, and the mortality was calculated, and the results are shown in table 1 below.

The results in Table 1 show that isododecane at a concentration of 5mg or more was used for fumigation, which had the best poisoning effect against various pests, whereas isododecane at a concentration of 30mg or more had a poisoning effect of 100% against various pests.
Example two insecticidal test (two)
The rice weevil, spider mites, beetles, german cockroaches, longfoot ants, and invasive solenopsis invicta were placed in a 1L container, and then carriers containing n-dodecane, n-decane, 2-methylnonadecane (isododecane), and 2,4, 6-pentamethylheptane (isododecane) at a concentration of 30mg were placed in the 1L container, and the container was fumigated for 24 hours with a cover, and after aeration, the death number of the insects was confirmed, and the mortality was calculated, and the results are shown in Table 2 below.

From the results in Table 2, it is evident that n-dodecane, n-dodecane and isomers thereof have remarkable poisoning effects against various pests, and especially that isododecane has the best poisoning effect against various pests.
Example III insecticidal test (III)
The mosquito larvae (wiggler) without disease source are artificially raised into a 1L container with 30 per group and 100 milliliters of deionized water, and then different doses of reagents of isododecane and isohexadecane which are added into the agricultural spreader in a ratio of 4:1 are added, and the mixture is evenly mixed and then is not covered. After 24 hours, the death number of the wigglers is confirmed, and the mortality rate is calculated, and the result is as follows

From the results shown in Table 3, it is apparent that the poisoning effect of isododecane and isohexadecane on mosquito larvae (wiggler) is more than 50% in the case that 2.5mg or more per 100 ml of water.
