POLINUCLEOTìDEO ISOLADO, OLIGONUCLEOTìDEO, ESTRUTURA DE áCIDO NUCLéICO, CéLULA TRANSGêNICA, PLANTA TRANSGêNICA, MéTODO DE MELHORIA DA QUALIDADE DA FIBRA E/OU DO RENDIMENTO DA PLANTA PRODUTORA DE FIBRA, MéTODO DE MELHORIA DE BIOMASSA DE UMA PLANTA, MéTODO DE IDENTIFICAçãO DE GENES, MéTODO DE PROODUçãO DE PLANTA RESISTENTE A INSETOS E MéTODO DE PRODUçAO DE FIBRAS DE ALGODAO, apresentam polinucleotídeos isolados; cada um dos polinucleotídeos isolados compreende uma seqüência de ácido nucléico que codifica um polipeptídeo contendo uma seqüência de aminoácidos de pelo menos 80% homóloga à seqüência com número de identificação: 26, 106, 107, 109, 110, 112, 114, 115, 118, 119, 122, 123, 124, 126, 95 ou 96, caracterizado pelo fato que o polipeptídeo é capaz de regular o desenvolvimento da fibra de algodão; também fornecidos são métodos de utilização dos referidos polinucleotídeos para a melhoria da qualidade da fibra e/ou da produção de uma planta produtora de fibra, assim como métodos de utilização dos referidos polinucleotídeos para a produção de plantas que tenham aumentada biomassa/vigor/rendimento.
