Abstract

AXMI-018, AXMI-020 E AXMI-021, UMA FAMìLIA DE GENES DE DELTA-ENDOTOXINA E MéTODOS PARA SEU USO. Composições e métodos para conferir atividade pesticida à bactérias, plantas, células, tecidos e sementes de planta são proporcionados. Composições compreendendo uma seqúência de codificação para um polipeptídeo de deita-endotoxina são proporcionadas. As seqúências de codificação podem ser usadas em estruturas de DNA ou cassetes de expressão para transformação e expressão em plantas e bactérias. Composições também compreendem bactérias, plantas, células, tecidos e sementes de planta transformados. Em particular, moléculas de ácido nucleico de delta-endotoxina isoladas são proporcionadas. Adicionalmente, seqúências de aminoácido correspondendo aos polinucleotídeos são abrangidas. Em particular, a presente invenção proporciona moléculas de ácido nucleico isoladas compreendendo seqúências de nucleotídeo que codificam a seqúência de aminoácido mostrada em SEQ ID NO: 2, 4 ou 6 ou a seqúência de nucleotídeo apresentada em SEQ ID NO: 1, 3 ou 5, bem como variantes e fragmentos das mesmas.
