Abstract

A paper handling assembly has a belt feeding sheets of paper for collection as a stack and subsequent removal. The collection and separation bench has a rear stack movable alignment guide which advances at right angles to a notional plane running through the separation bench. An assembly captures an incoming supply of sheet paper from a conveyer belt and assembles a stack on a tray. The assembly further has a separator that subdivides the stack into a collected portion for removal, and an unfinished stack. The assembly has a holder for the unfinished stack, consisting of several elements attached to a tie-rod, and a separation bench for the unfinished stack during removal of the finished stack. The assembly further has a rear stack alignment guide. The rear guide has a movable guide that advances at right angles to a notional plane running through the separation bench.
