Abstract
"MáQUINA RECIPROCANTE, COM DUAS SUBCâMARAS". Uma máquina reciprocante inclui um alojamento (12) e meios de pistão (2), que são deslocáveis relativamente ciclicamente ao longo de um eixo (11), para definir uma câmara de trabalho de volume variável (50). Proporciona-se ainda um meio de entrada de ar e um meio de entrada de combustível (100), para admitir ar e combustível na câmara de trabalho, para formar uma mistura inflamável, após compressão de ar nela, e um meio para descarga de produtos de combustão da câmara de trabalho. A câmara de trabalho de volume variável (50) inclui pelo menos duas subcâmaras, uma câmara de combustão (54) e uma câmara principal (52) deslocadas mutuamente no eixo (11), e em comunicação com uma seção transversal (53), na qual o gás na câmara de combustão (54) pode expandir-se, pelo menos parcialmente, lateralmente, na medida em que escoa da câmara de combustão (54) para a câmara principal (52).
