Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"GENES PARA A BIOSSìNTESE DE EPOTILONAS"<D>. Moléculas de ácido nucléico são isoladas de Sorangium Cellulosum que codifica polipeptídios necessários para a biossíntese de epotilona. São revelados processos para a produção de epotilona em hospedeiros recombinantes transformados com os genes da invenção. Desta maneira, epotilona pode ser produzida em quantidades grandes o bastante para permitir sua purificação e uso nas formulações farmacêuticas, tais como aquelas para tratamento do câncer.
