Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"DISPERSõES DE POLìMERO FINAMENTE DIVIDIDAS PARA A ENGOMAçãO DE PAPEL"<D>. As novas dispersões de polímero aquosas, à base de copolímeros de estireno/ésteres de ácido (met) acrílico, são obteníveis por polimerização em emulsão, iniciada via radicais livres, de (a) 30 até 60% em peso de pelo menos um estireno eventualmente substituído; (b) 60 até 30% em peso de pelo menos um éster de C~ 1~-C~ 4~-alquila de ácido (met)acrílico, (c) 0 até 10% em peso de outros monómeros copolimerizáveis etilenicamente insaturados; (d) 10 até 40% em peso de amido degradado com um peso molecular M~ n~ = 500 até 10.000, em presença de um sistema redox solúvel em água, ativo em enxerto, e são adequadas, de maneira notável, como agente de engomação para papel.
