Abstract

"CATALISADOR DE ZEóLITO SELETIVO EM FORMATO E SEU USO EM CONVERSãO DE COMPOSTO AROMáTICO". Um catalisador seletivo em formato compreende um material cristalino poroso sintético tendo a estrutura de ZSM-5 e uma composição envolvendo a relação molar: X~ 2~O~ 3~: (n) IO~ 2~, em que X é um elemento trivalente, tal como alumínio, boro, ferro e/ou gálio, preferivelmente alumínio; Y é um elemento tetravalente tal como silício e/ou germânio, preferivelmente silício; e n é maior do que aproximadamente 12, e em que os cristais têm uma dimensão maior de pelo menos aproximadamente 0,5 micron e uma relação de superfície de YO~ 2~/X~ 2~ O~ 3~ que não é mais do que 20% menos do que essa relação em massa de YO~ 2~/X~ 2~ O~ 3~ do cristal. Os cristais têm um revestimento de superfície de modificação por difusão, de um material refratário tal como sílica ou coque. O catalisador é útil em uma ampla variedade de processos de conversão, particularmente a desproporcionação seletiva de tolueno em para-xileno.
