Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA O REVESTIMENTO GALVâNICO DE UM MOLDE DE LINGOTAMENTO CONTìNUO". Em um processo para o revestimento galvânico de um molde de lingotamento contínuo (2), são revestidas as superfícies internas (4) de um molde de lingotamento contínuo (2), delimitadoras de uma cavidade de conformação (3), com um material de revestimento para a execução ou o restabelecimento de uma medida nominal da cavidade de conformação. O molde de lingotamento contínuo (2) é empregado como cátodo, um ânodo (7) disposto na cavidade de conformação (3) e um eletrólito (25) que contém o material de revestimento. Através da cavidade de conformação (3) do molde de lingotamento contínuo (2) faz-se fluir de modo controlado o eletrólito (25) que serve de veículo do material de revestimento. Durante o revestimento galvânico entram unicamente as superfícies internas da cavidade de conformação em contato com o eletrólito e, conseq³entemente, as superfícies externas do molde de lingotamento contínuo não precisam ser recobertas. As propriedades mecânicas podem manter-se em grande parte uniformes por toda a extensão. Pode-se conseguir o revestimento mais rapidamente que por meio dos processos convencionais.
