Abstract
Un ensayo para identificar una bacteria capaz de unirse a un metal pesado elemental, que comprende los siguientes pasos: cultivar una bacteria de prueba en un primer medio de cultivo apropiado; sumergir por lo menos una porción de la superficie de una herramienta de prueba dentro del primer medio de cultivo durante un segundo período de tiempo predeterminado, donde dicha porción de la superficie está recubierta de un metal pesado elemental, respectivamente; retirar dicha herramienta de prueba de dicho primer medio de cultivo y opcionalmente enjuagar la herramienta de prueba; poner en contacto un segundo medio de cultivo con la porción de la superficie recubierta de un metal pesado elemental de dicha herramienta de prueba que se retiró en el paso anterior, e identificar la bacteria de prueba que es capaz de unirse a un metal pesado elemental en base al crecimiento de la bacteria de prueba en dicho segundo medio de cultivo.
