Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un método para controlar vegetación no deseada en un sitio de cultivo vegetal; caracterizado porque comprende las siguientes etapas: a) proporcionar, en dicho sitio, una planta que comprende al menos un ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica un polipéptido de protoporfirinógeno oxidasa (PPO) que es resistente o tolerante a un herbicida inhibidor de PPO; b) aplicar al sitio una cantidad eficaz del herbicida, en donde el herbicida inhibidor de PPO es una uracilpiridina de la fórmula (1) en donde los sustituyentes tienen los siguientes significados: R¹ es hidrógeno, NH₂, C₁₋₆-alquilo o C₃₋₆-alquinilo; R² es hidrógeno, C₁₋₆-alquilo o C₁₋₆-haloalquilo; R³ es hidrógeno o C₁₋₆-alquilo; R⁴ es H o halógeno; R⁵ es halógeno, CN, NO₂, NH₂, CF₃ o C(=S)NH₂; R⁶ es H, halógeno, CN, C₁₋₃-alquilo, C₁₋₃-haloalquilo, C₁₋₃-alcoxi, C₁₋₃-haloalcoxi, C₁₋₃-alquiltio, (C₁₋₃-alquil)amino, di(C₁₋₃-alquil)amino, C₁₋₃-alcoxi-C₁₋₃-alquilo, C₁₋₃-alcoxicarbonilo; R⁷ es H, halógeno, C₁₋₃-alquilo, C₁₋₃-alcoxi; R⁸ es OR⁹, SR⁹, NR¹⁰R¹¹, NR⁹OR⁹, NR⁹S(O)₂R¹⁰ o NR⁹S(O)₂NR¹⁰R¹¹, en donde R⁹ es hidrógeno, C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-alquenilo, C₃₋₆-alquinilo, C₁₋₆-haloalquilo, C₃₋₆-haloalquenilo, C₃₋₆-haloalquinilo, C₁₋₆-cianoalquilo, C₁₋₆-alcoxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alcoxi-C₁₋₆-alcoxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, di(C₁₋₆-alcoxi)C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-haloalcoxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-alqueniloxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-haloalqueniloxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-alqueniloxi-C₁₋₆-alcoxi-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alquiltio-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alquilsulfinil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alquilsulfonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alquilcarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-alcoxicarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-haloalcoxicarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-alqueniloxicarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-alquiniloxicarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, amino, (C₁₋₆-alquil)amino, di(C₁₋₆-alquil)amino, (C₁₋₆-alquilcarbonil)amino, amino-C₁₋₆-alquilo, (C₁₋₆-alquil)amino-C₁₋₆-alquilo, di(C₁₋₆-alquil)amino-C₁₋₆-alquilo, aminocarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, (C₁₋₆-alquil)aminocarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, di(C₁₋₆-alquil)aminocarbonil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, -N=CR¹²R¹³, en donde R¹² y R¹³ son, independientemente entre sí, H, C₁₋₄-alquilo o fenilo; C₃₋₆-cicloalquilo, C₃₋₆-cicloalquil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₃₋₆-heterociclilo, C₃₋₆-heterociclil-C₁₋₆-alquilo, fenilo, fenil-C₁₋₄-alquilo o un heteroarilo de 5 ó 6 miembros, en donde cada anillo de cicloalquilo, heterociclilo, fenilo o heteroarilo se puede sustituir con 1 a 4 sustituyentes seleccionados de R¹⁴ o un carbociclo de 3 a 7 miembros, en donde el carbociclo tiene, opcionalmente, además de átomos de carbono, 1 ó 2 miembros del anillo seleccionados del grupo que consiste en -N(R¹²)-, -N=N-, -C(=O)-, -O- y -S-, y en donde el carbociclo se sustituye opcionalmente con 1 a 4 sustituyentes seleccionados de R¹⁴; en donde R¹⁴ es halógeno, NO₂, CN, C₁₋₄-alquilo, C₁₋₄-haloalquilo, C₁₋₄-alcoxi o C₁₋₄-alcoxicarbonilo; R¹⁰, R¹¹ son, independientemente entre sí, R⁹, o juntos forman un carbociclo de 3 a 7 miembros, en donde el carbociclo tiene, opcionalmente, además de átomos de carbono, 1 ó 2 miembros del anillo seleccionados del grupo que consiste en -N(R¹²)-, -N=N-, -C(=O)-, -O- y -S-, y en donde el carbociclo se sustituye opcionalmente con 1 a 4 sustituyentes seleccionados de R¹⁴; n es 1 a 3; Q es CH₂, O, S, SO, SO₂, NH o (C₁₋₃-alquilo)N; W es O ó S; X es NH, NCH₃, O ó S; Y es O ó S; Z es fenilo, piridilo, piridazinilo, pirimidinilo o pirazinilo, cada uno de los cuales se sustituye opcionalmente con 1 a 4 sustituyentes seleccionados del grupo que consiste en halógeno, CN, C₁₋₆-alquilo, C₁₋₆-haloalquilo, C₁₋₆-alcoxi, C₁₋₆-haloalcoxi; que incluyen sus derivados o sales aceptables en la agricultura, siempre que los compuestos de la fórmula (1) tengan un grupo carboxilo, y en donde la cantidad de dicho herbicida no elimina ni inhibe el crecimiento de la planta tolerante a herbicidas de a). Reivindicación 2: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque el polipéptido de PPO resistente o tolerante a herbicidas comprende uno o más de los siguientes motivos 1, 2 y/o 3: a) Motivo 1: SQ[N/K/H]KRYI, en donde la Arg en la posición 5 dentro de dicho motivo se sustituye con cualquier otro aminoácido; b) Motivo 2: TLGTLFSS, en donde la Leu en la posición 2, y/o la Gly en la posición 3, y/o la Leu en la posición 5 dentro de dicho motivo se sustituyen con cualquier otro aminoácido; c) Motivo 3: [F/Y]TTF[V/I]GG, en donde la Phe en la posición 4 dentro de dicho motivo se sustituye con cualquier otro aminoácido.
