Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un polipéptido a seleccionar a partir de los siguientes: un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos en donde al menos uno a seleccionar a partir del conjunto que consiste en N59, S60, R89, F161, V165, A167, Q184, P303, V305, F324, L327, I340, F360, y I408 de la secuencia de aminoácidos de SEC ID Nº 2, considerado en forma independiente, es eliminado o es sustituido por un aminoácido que se selecciona a partir del conjunto que consiste en M(Met), V(Val), I(Ile), T(Thr), L(Leu), C(Cys), A(Ala), S(Ser), F(Phe), P(Pro), W(Trp), N(Asp), Q(Gln), G(Gly), Y(Tyr), D(Asp), E(Glu), R(Arg), H(His), y K(Lys), y es diferente del aminoácido original en la correspondiente posición en el tipo salvaje; un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos en donde al menos uno a seleccionar a partir del conjunto que consiste en R101, F171, V175, A177, G194, P316, V318, F337, L340, I353, y F373 de la secuencia de aminoácidos de SEC ID Nº 4, considerado en forma independiente, es eliminado o es sustituido por un aminoácido que se selecciona a partir del conjunto que consiste en M(Met), V(Val), I(Ile), T(Thr), L(Leu), C(Cys), A(Ala), S(Ser), F(Phe), P(Pro), W(Trp), N(Asp), Q(Gln), G(Gly), Y(Tyr), D(Asp), E(Glu), R(Arg), H(His), y K(Lys), y es diferente del aminoácido en la correspondiente posición en el tipo salvaje; y un polipéptido que consiste en una secuencia de aminoácidos que posee 95% o más de homología con respecto a las secuencias de aminoácidos de dichos polipéptidos. Reivindicación 5: Un polinucleótido que codifica el polipéptido conforme a una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4. Reivindicación 8: Una composición para conferir o potenciar la tolerancia a los herbicidas de una planta o alga, la cual comprende al menos uno a seleccionar a partir del conjunto que consiste en el polipéptido de la SEC ID Nº 2; el polipéptido de la SEC ID Nº 4; el polipéptido conforme a una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4; un polinucleótido que codifica el polipéptido; un vector recombinante que comprende el polinucleótido; y una célula recombinante que comprende el vector recombinante. Reivindicación 16: Un transformante de una planta o alga que posee la tolerancia a los herbicidas, o un clon o la progenie del mismo, la cual comprende el polipéptido conforme a la SEC ID Nº 2, el polipéptido conforme a la SEC ID Nº 4, el polipéptido conforme a una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4 o un polinucleótido que lo codifica. Reivindicación 19: Un método para conferir o potenciar la tolerancia a los herbicidas de plantas o algas, siendo que el método comprende transformar algas, o una célula vegetal, protoplasto, callo, hipocótilo, semilla, cotiledón, vástago, o planta completa con el polipéptido conforme a SEC ID Nº 2, el polipéptido conforme a SEC ID Nº 4, el polipéptido conforme a una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4 o un polinucleótido que lo codifica. Reivindicación 23: Un método para eliminar un organismo acuático no deseado de un medio de cultivo, siendo que el método comprende: proporcionar a un medio de cultivo algas que comprenden el polipéptido conforme a SEC ID Nº 2, el polipéptido conforme a SEC ID Nº 4, el polipéptido conforme a una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4 o un polinucleótido que lo codifica, y aplicar al medio de cultivo una dosis efectiva de herbicida inhibidor de la protoporfirinógeno oxidasa.
