Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un método para impedir el daño causado por una plaga a una semilla y/o brotes y follaje de una planta cultivada a partir de dicha semilla, caracterizado porque dicho método comprende tratar la semilla sin sembrar con una composición que comprende clotianidina y por lo menos una piretrina o piretroide sintético. Reivindicación 2: Un método según se establece en la cláusula 1, caracterizado porque dicho piretroide sintético se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en teflutrina, l-cihalotrina, ciflutrina y bifentrina. Reivindicación 3: Un método según se establece en la cláusula 2, caracterizado porque dicha composición se halla incluida en un recubrimiento de semilla. Reivindicación 6: Un método según se establece en la cláusula 3, caracterizado porque dicha semilla se trata con el piretroide al mismo tiempo que se la trata con la clotianidina. Reivindicación 7: Un método según se establece en la cláusula 3, caracterizado porque dicha semilla se trata con el piretroide en otro momento que cuando se trata con la clotianidina. Reivindicación 10: Una semilla según se estableció en la cláusula 9, caracterizada porque dicha semilla se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en maíz, soja, algodón, arroz, sorgo, remolacha, trigo, cebada, centeno, girasol, tomate, caña de azúcar, tabaco, colza y avena. Reivindicación 13: Una semilla según se estableció en la cláusula 10, caracterizada porque dicha semilla es una semilla transgénica. Reivindicación 14: Una composición para el tratamiento de semillas sin sembrar caracterizada porque comprende clotianidina y por lo menos una piretrina o piretroide sintético. Reivindicación 16: Una semilla protegida contra varias plagas caracterizada porque comprende una semilla con por lo menos un gen heterólogo que codifica la expresión de una proteína activa contra una primera plaga y, tiene adherida a la misma una composición que comprende por lo menos una piretrina o piretroide sintético y clotianidina, donde dicha composición está presente en una cantidad efectiva para proporcionar protección a los brotes y follaje de la planta contra el daño causado por lo menos por una segunda plaga. Reivindicación 17: Una semilla según se estableció en la cláusula 16, caracterizada porque dicho por lo menos un gen heterólogo codifica la expresión de una proteína que tiene actividad insecticida. Reivindicación 18: Una semilla según se estableció en la cláusula 17, caracterizada porque dicho gen originalmente deriva de un microorganismo que se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en Bacillus, Rhizobium, Pseudomonas, Serratia, Trichoderma, Glomus, Gliocladium y hongos de micorriza.
