Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un método de tratamiento de semillas que comprende: (a) aplicación a las semillas de un recubrimiento de un alginato, que opcionalmente contiene uno o varios agentes de protección de cultivos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en insecticidas, nematicidas y fungicidas, y/o uno o varios nutrientes; y (b) reticulación del alginato con un ión metálico divalente. Reivindicación 2: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde dicho insecticida es acetamiprida. Reivindicación 3: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde dicho ión metálico divalente se selecciona del grupo que consiste en Ca⁺², Ba⁺² y Zn⁺². Reivindicación 4: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde dicha reticulación se efectúa aplicando una solución de ión metálico divalente. Reivindicación 6: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 5, en donde dicha sal de metal divalente es una sal de calcio. Reivindicación 12: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en donde dichas semillas son semillas pretratadas. Reivindicación 15: Una semilla recubierta que comprende un núcleo de semilla de planta y un recubrimiento de liberación controlada que comprende alginato reticulado y un agente de protección de cultivos seleccionado del grupo que consiste en insecticidas, nematicidas y fungicidas, y/o uno o varios nutrientes y combinaciones de ellos.
