Se proveen polipeptidos aislados que comprenden la secuencia amino cida, al menos, 80% homologa con respecto al NR ID DE SEC: 68, 51-66, 69-100, 379-656, 707-715, 720-723. 742-754, 764-771 o 772 con la condicion de que la secuencia amino cida no sea la determinada con el. NR ID DE SEC: 765 o 771, polinucleotidos aislados que comprenden la secuencia de acido nucleico que tienen al monos un 80% de identidad con los NRs ID DE SEC: 18, 1-16, 19-50, 101-378, 657-672, 674-706, 716-719, 724-741 y 755-763, con la condicion de que la secuencia de  cido nucleico no sea la determinada con el NR ID DE SEC; 756 o 762 polinucleotidos aislados seleccionados del grupo formado por los NRs ID DE SEC; 779-792 y metodos pare utilizar los mismos pera aumentar el contenido de aceite, rendimiento, tasa de crecimiento, biomasa, vigor, tolerancia al estres abiotico y/o eficacia en el uso de nitrogeno de una planta.
