Abstract
Un objeto de la presente es brindar un procedimiento para producir ecuol y sus intermediarios por medio de la utilizacion de enzimas y genes. Se brinda una enzima sintetizadora de dihidrodaidzeína, una enzima sintetizadora de tetrahidrodaidzeína, una enzima sintetizadora de ecuol, y genes que codifican estas enzimas. La presente también brinda un procedimiento para sintetizar dihidrodaidzeína, tetrahidrodaidzeína, y/o ecuol utilizando estas enzimas. Estos derivados de isoflavona, como el ecuol se emplean como material para productos alimenticios y farmacéuticos. Reivindicacion 1: Un polipéptido seleccionado entre: (Ca) un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos de SEQ ID NO: 13; (Cb) un polipéptido que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos de SEQ ID NO: 13, con la sustitucion, eliminacion, insercion y/o adicion de uno o más aminoácidos, y que posee actividad para sintetizar ecuol utilizando tetrahidrodaidzeína como sustrato; y (Cc) un polipéptido compuesto por una secuencia de aminoácidos que tiene una identidad del 60% o más, con la secuencia de aminoácidos de SEQ ID NO: 13, y que posee actividad para sintetizar ecuol utilizando tetrahidrodaidzeína como sustrato.
