Abstract
Se proveen composiciones y métodos para conferir actividad pesticida a bacterias, plantas, y células, tejidos y semillas vegetales. Se proveen composiciones que comprenden una secuencia codificadora de un polipéptido delta-endotoxina. La secuencia codificadora se puede usar en constructos de ADN o casetes de expresion para la transformacion y la expresion en plantas y bacterias. Las composiciones también comprenden bacterias, plantas, y células, tejidos y semillas vegetales transformados. En particular, se proveen moléculas de ácido nucleico de delta-endotoxina aisladas. Además, se proveen secuencias de aminoácidos correspondientes a los polinucleotidos, y los anticuerpos que se unen específicamente a esas secuencias de aminoácidos. En particular, se proveen moléculas de ácido nucleico aisladas que comprenden secuencias de nucleotidos que codifican la secuencia de aminoácidos ilustrada en las SEQ ID NO: 6-11,o la secuencia de nucleotidos establecida en las SEQ ID NO: 1-5, así como también las variantes y los fragmentos de las mismas.
