Abstract

Con células vegetales y plantas transformadas o sus partes que comprenden un gen inactivado o regulado en forma descendente que da como resultado mayor rendimiento, en particular un rasgo aumentado relacionado con rendimiento, por ejemplo, mayor eficiencia en el uso de nutrientes, tal como mayor eficiencia en el uso de nitrogeno y/o mayor produccion de biomasa en comparacion con, por ejemplo, células de tipo silvestre no transformadas y métodos para producir dichas células vegetales o plantas o sus partes. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para aumentar el rendimiento de una planta en comparacion con una correspondiente planta de tipo silvestre, que comprende reducir una o más actividades seleccionadas del grupo que consiste en proteína At1g74730, proteína At3g63270, proteína quinasa, proteína serina/treonina fosfatasa y proteína que contiene dominio SET, en la planta o una de sus partes.
