Abstract

La presente provee un aceite de canola ôno satö, las semillas que producen tales aceites y las plantas que producen estas semillas. Esto se obtuvo mediante el empleo del gen delta-9 desaturasa en canola. Esta técnica se puede aplicar en otras plantas reveladas en la presente. Las semillas producidas por tales plantas presentan niveles reducidos de ácidos grasos saturados totales.
