Abstract

Un aparato y método para entregar por vía transdérmica un péptido natriurético que comprende un sistema de entrega que posee un miembro de microproyeccion que incluye una pluralidad de microproyecciones (o disposicion del mismo) que se adaptan para perforar a través del estrato corneo en la capa subyacente de la epidermis o capas de la epidermis y dermis. En una realizacion, el péptido natriurético está contenido en un recubrimiento biocompatible que se aplica al miembro de microproyeccion. En otra realizacion, el sistema de entrega incluye una formulacion de hidrogel que contiene un péptido natriurético. En una realizacion alternativa, el péptido natriurético está contenido tanto en el recubrimiento como en la formulacion de hidrogel. En aun otra realizacion, el péptido natriurético está contenido en una formulacion en estado solido. Reivindicacion 5: El sistema de entrega de la Reivindicacion 1, en el cual dicho péptido natriurético se selecciona del grupo que consiste en péptidos natriuréticos artriales (ANP), péptidos natriuréticos de tipo B (BNP), péptidos natriuréticos de tipo C y urodilatinas, y análogos, fragmentos activos, productos de degradacion, sales y derivados simples y combinaciones de los mismos.
