Abstract
Se proveen un sistema y método para un terminal de acceso (AT) de comunicaciones inalámbricas de multi-red para acceder a la cobertura multi-red. El método registra un AT de multi-red en una primera red de comunicaciones. En respuesta al registro con la primera red, el AT recibe informacion vía la primera red que es requerida para acceder a una segunda red de comunicaciones (por ejemplo, una red IEEE 802.20 o 1 xEV-DO). El AT obtiene acceso de servicio vía la segunda red, en respuesta a la informacion de acceso recibida vía la primera red. Por ejemplo, la informacion de acceso de la segunda red puede ser una informacion del sistema, informacion de canal o parámetros del punto de acceso. El AT retiene la opcion de obtener acceso de servicios vía la primera red si la segunda red no puede acceder a la segunda red.
