Abstract

Un método para habilitar una conexion de una terminal de comunicacion movil (110) a una red de comunicacion de radio, que comprende: recibir informacion disponible sobre redes de acceso radio disponibles en un área geográfica (210); determinar una ubicacion corriente de la terminal de comunicacion movil dentro de dicha área geográfica; en base a la informacion recibida y a la ubicacion corriente de terminal de comunicacion movil determinada, determinar redes de acceso radio disponibles que cubran la ubicacion corriente de la terminal de comunicacion movil, e intentar establecer una conexion a la red de comunicacion de radio a través de una red seleccionada de dichas redes de acceso radio disponibles. En caso de que la ubicacion corriente de la terminal de comunicacion movil dentro de dicha área geográfica no pueda ser determinada: intentar establecer una conexion directa a una terminal de comunicacion movil vecina sobre un canal de comunicacion inalámbrica de corto alcance; obtener informacion sobre redes de acceso radio disponibles desde la terminal de comunicacion movil vecina; e intentar establecer una conexion a la red de comunicacion de radio a través de una red seleccionada de las redes de acceso radio disponibles especificadas en la informacion obtenida desde la terminal de comunicacion movil vecina.
